Stray Rats SS16 Lookbook

Miami's Stray Rats head to the arcade for their latest lookbook, showcasing a bold graphic release for Spring/Summer 2016.

Aligning with the brands signature aesthetic, the latest release is again heavily graphic led, comprised of staple silhouettes including tees, long-sleeves, hoodies, shorts and rounded off with a complimenting headwear range. Stray Rats founder Julian Consuegra cites the brand's inspiration as youth culture, punk, hip-hop and street art, while a reoccurring theme throughout their collections has been paying homage to popular cult classics, and SS16 stays true to that as they flip numerous iconic designs from Disney to Michael Jackson.

Hopefully we'll be seeing Stray Rats arrive on our shores shortly, but if you're willing to shell out that extra dough you can pick up pieces over on their webstore now.

Supreme x ANTIHERO Summer 2016

Supreme and ANTIHERO follow up their 2014 collaborative capsule release with an extensive collection for Summer 2016.

The release is definitely one of Supreme's more obvious ventures, for two camps who have given so much and share such a storied history in skateboarding to come together makes perfect sense, and the collection provides a tangible representation of both brands free wheeling attitude. The diverse collection is comprised of staple silhouettes including tees, hoodies and sweaters, alongside more considered items such as short-sleeve shirts, lightweight outerwear and workwear style bottoms. A hybrid logo design featuring ANTIHERO's iconic eagle reworked with a subtle Supreme box logo detailing features throughout, as well as 'The Pope/Slayer' design on select pieces. The cohesive release is rounded off with four deck designs, again featuring the hybrid logo and Pope logo, while all pieces in the collection follow a rich colour palette of yellow, red, green, black and white.

To celebrate the release, long-time collaborate Will Strobeck has put together a short clip featuring ANTIHERO's Andy Roy, Raney Beres and more, hanging out and skating through the city. The Supreme x ANTIHERO Summer 2016 collection will be launching at the brands London, NY, LA and Paris locations, as well as online, from June 2nd.

Things keep getting better for Daan Van Der Linden this year, having already scored the cover of Thrasher and Free Skate Mag, as well as having a part in Volcom's highly anticipated full length 'Holy Stokes, Vans have now announced the release of a signature footwear colour way for the young Dutch ripper.

The recentley introduced Style 112 is one of the brands core skate styles, designed and worn by the Vans skate team themselves. Like Daan's skateboarding, the 112 is a versatile shoe providing both style and functionality in its design. Maintaining mist of the shoes key features such as the UltraCush HD footbed for ultimate board feel and cushioning upon impact, a DURACAP upper for durability, Vans signature waffle outsole for unrivaled grip and also the brands vulcanised lite construction to deliver the best in board feel, flex and traction. For it's latest rework, Van Der Linden has kept it stealthy with a black suede applied to the upper with tonal leather detailing on the side stripe and heel paneling. The shoe is accented with a special light olive colour on the lacing, Vans heel stamp and custom Van Der Linden print on the heel.

Daan had this to say on the shoe...

“I am really happy with how it turned out, and even more so as I wanted to include suede throughout. One of the areas I looked at in great detail was the extra toe protection, which I wanted to be complimented by great board feel. In the final outcome, I think we’ve accomplished both”!

The Daan Van Der Linden Style 112 Pro colourway is now available at Vans.com

HUF Summer 2016 Collection

HUF have released their latest set of visuals, highlighting key styles from the brands Summer 2016 collection.

Looking ahead to this Summers Olympic Games held in Rio, Brazil, the collection draws inspiration from athletic and sportswear themes, applying bold patterns and seasonal colours, reminiscent of those found on the football shirts of the home nation, throughout the release. Alongside the more athletic pieces we see the classic tongue-in-cheek graphics HUF have become renowned for applied to tees and long-sleeves, a considered headwear selection featuring classic logo designs, and also more in the way of cut & sew with several short-sleeve shirt styles and an expanded pant line.

In all its much the same from the San Fran giants, who have achieved their renowned aesthetic through consistency season after season. We do however see new drop needle technics applied to some pieces offering both breathability and a premium construction, while vintage athletic-inspired labelling adds a nice finish to the collection.

You can pick up the latest from HUF at select UK stockist now, including Flatspot, 5Pointz & Urban Industry
