The Decades Holiday 2015 Lookbook

The Decades take a mature approach to casual headwear as they present their latest collection for Holiday 2015, captured in this simplistic lookbook.

Despite being a fairly new introduction to the market, the Philadelphia brand has continued to make an impression on the global scene, with various stockists worldwide thanks to their quality headwear designs. Following on from their ‘Olympics’ inspired collection from earlier this year, the brand have delivered a new selection of caps and apparel, combining elements of vintage sportswear within their design. The Holiday 2015 release is a good reflection of the brands progress and shows how much they have developed, with a considered approach towards everything from the logo designs to the materials used. The collection consists of 6-panels, deconstructed strap backs, curved brim polo caps and beanies, featuring custom embroidery and patchwork detailing throughout, with simplistic colour blocking in numerous colour options. Rounding off the release is a concise selection of apparel which includes hoodies and lightweight satin bomber jackets featuring bold graphic back prints, again aligning with the vintage athletic themes.

The Decades Holiday 2015 collection is available now on the brands webstore. The collection should hopefully be arriving on our shores shortly with the brands UK stockists, however there hasn’t been any solid confirmation, so be sure to check back for updates.

Saucony Shadow 6000 Irish Coffee Pack

Saucony Shadow 6000 ‘Irish Coffee’ Pack

Saucony rework the classic Shadow 6000 silhouette in to three new colour ways inspired by Irish Coffee.

The collection pays homage to a man named Joe Sheridan, who in 1943 introduced the now hugely popular drink of Irish Coffee to a room full of abandoned travellers. Drawing inspiration from the key components needed to create the tipple, the classic 90’s runner arrives in three rich colour ways of black, light brown and a tonal off white, representing the coffee, Irish whisky and cream respectively. Each shoe has been constructed from a buttery Wolverine suede on the upper, all sitting on top of a white EVA midsole and lugged gum outsole for extra traction in the slippery conditions.

I’m always up for a new pack release from Saucony, especially when it comes with an interesting concept behind it. With a lot of brands however, I do sometimes find that the more interesting the concept the more complicate the design, to a point where the shoe is barely wearable. The Irish Coffee pack not only has a good story behind it but is also well executed from the colour to the materials. Each minimal colour way is as wearable as the next, complimenting the sleek shape of the ever popular Shadow 6000.

You can expect the Saucony Shadow 6000 ‘Irish Coffee’ pack to be arriving the week commencing 7th of December at select UK retailers.
