Converse CONS x Polar Skate Co. Collab Launch Event

5f5a0753

Last night we were invited down to Old Street’s Kachette to celebrate the launch of Converse Cons andPolar Skate Co’s first collaborative collection, as well as an exclusive viewing of Polar’s ‘Manhattan Days’, filmed during the teams recent trip to New York.

The venue was packed full of good people and good vibes, and the collection along with the film received the great reception it deserved. It was great to finally see the much anticipated release in person and it certainly didn’t disappoint! There was also an exhibition space to check out some amazing photography from Polar’s time in New York, shot by the extremely talented Nils Svensson. Cons ambassador and Polar Skate founder, Pontus Alv introduced the brands latest edit inspired by downtown skateboarding and how it’s all about having fun with friends. Shot on Super8, the film follows the team armed with a modified, skateable shopping trolly, pole jam and two steel diamond plates, skating through the city, carving out new spots and generally having a good time.

We would like to thank Converse Cons and Polar Skate Co for a great evening. Check out the gallery below featuring images from the night and be sure to check out our previous post for more information on the release, as well as links to by HERE.

Last Thursday, the 17th of July, we were lucky enough to be invited down to London’s Old Blue last by our friends at Brixton and Out Of Step to preview the brands SS15 collection and be treated to a night full of awesome live music.

The evening started with beers, pizza and an exclusive preview of Brixton’s up and coming release, which certainly didn’t disappoint. It’s a solid collection throughout with a selection of exciting new tees and headwear, as well as vintage inspired shirting, sportswear jackets and much more.

As the night progressed we moved onto The Old Blue last in Shoreditch where the Spit Shake Sisters kicked off proceedings, with Cowtown and DZ Deathrays following and the Red Cords finishing off the night with a bang .

Check out images from the evening, as well as images from the second night that featured music from the Hipshakes, Autobahn and We were Promised Jetpacks, topping off the 2-night showcase in East London.
