HUF ‘Americans do America’ – Tour Edit

Following a recent tour through the US, HUF footwear and filmmaker Martin Reigel have come together to produce a fantastic new edit entitled ‘Americans do America tour’.

Featuring team riders – Austyn Gilette, Peter Ramondetta, Joey Pepper, Josh Matthews, Dan Plunkett, Dylan Rieder, Kevin Terpening and special guests Matt Gottwig and Richie Rizzo, the film follows the team from skatepark demo’s to hitting street spots across the USA.

Converse CONS X Polar Skate Co.

Following sneak peeks of the collab surfacing on social media on Monday night, Converse CONS and Polar Skate Co. offer a closer look and set a release date for their first collaborative effort and we couldn’t be more excited!

Taking each brands artistic direction into consideration, CONS and brand ambassador Pontus Alv (founder of Polar Skate Co.) deliver a seven piece collection featuring footwear and apparel pieces based on subtle designs and performance.

Starting with the footwear, the CONS CTAS Pro undergoes its latest rework with all of the shoes performance features in tact. Sitting on top of a clean white midsole and complementing toe cap, the collection offers black, natural and blue colour options with additional detailing in the happy/sad logo on the heel tab and inner tongue labels. Despite the subtle approach to the shoes design, there is no lack of technical features, with durable premium suede uppers, moulded multi-density Lunarlon sockliner for added comfort and impact protection, as well as traction rubber vulcanised outsole and waxed laces. The result is an extremely wearable, skate ready shoe.

Rounding off the collection is a complimenting apparel collection made up of four t-shirt designs, with illustrative back prints on white and heather grey crew necks and full-body abstract prints on black and white collared tees.

Polar Skate Co. founder Pontus Alv had this to say on the release:

“We are stoked to work with Converse CONS on our first collaborative collection, we’ve wanted to create a super-clean Chuck Taylor Pro in suede right from the beginning of working together. They skate really well, they look great and they last”

The Converse Cons X Polar Skate Co. capsule collection is available in limited quantities exclusively in Europe from Friday the 26th of September and will be released globally on Saturday the 4th of October. The collection will be available at the following stockists;

The lookbook showcases a range of tees, hoodies, sweaters and outerwear pieces alongside notable collaborations including Patta’s take on the famous Kangol ‘Bermuda Casual’ bucket hat and the newly released ‘Italia’ rework of Diadora’s N9000 silhouette. Saucony Originals – Shadow 6000 ‘Running Man’ Pack

Saucony drop the first premium release of Autumn/Winter as the Shadow 6000 gets a fresh rework in the ‘Running Man’ pack.

As the name suggests, the classic running silhouette maintains its performance technology with the suede overlays onto the light mesh upper base, as well as the cushioned raised sole. The pack offers 4 separate colour options on the panelling which sits on a white base, including green, red, mint and blue. Additional features include the woven ‘Running Man’ logo on the tongue, Saucony branding, a white rubber midsole and black outsole.

Asics Glow In The Dark Pack

The GEL-LYTE III, Gel Saga and the rarely seen GT-Quick silhouettes get a unique rework inspired by the night sky in Asics ‘Glow In The Dark’ Pack.

Each shoe combines premium suede, leather and mesh on the upper with a contrasting white ‘Supernova’ sole. The Gel Lyte III arrives in a deep blue with white detailing, with the Gel Saga reflecting the colours of the night sky with Black and blue accents. Sure to be one that gets the sneaker community excited is the rare GT-Quick which sees moon grey panelling and a red inner added to black, as well as additional detailing including the reflective star pattern and branding which is added to each style.

Converse CONS x Polar Skate Co. Collab Launch Event

Last night we were invited down to Old Street’s Kachette to celebrate the launch of Converse Cons andPolar Skate Co’s first collaborative collection, as well as an exclusive viewing of Polar’s ‘Manhattan Days’, filmed during the teams recent trip to New York.

The venue was packed full of good people and good vibes, and the collection along with the film received the great reception it deserved. It was great to finally see the much anticipated release in person and it certainly didn’t disappoint! There was also an exhibition space to check out some amazing photography from Polar’s time in New York, shot by the extremely talented Nils Svensson. Cons ambassador and Polar Skate founder, Pontus Alv introduced the brands latest edit inspired by downtown skateboarding and how it’s all about having fun with friends. Shot on Super8, the film follows the team armed with a modified, skateable shopping trolly, pole jam and two steel diamond plates, skating through the city, carving out new spots and generally having a good time.

PUMA Introduces the Trinomic Blaze of Glory ‘Tech Edition’

The popular Blaze of Glory silhouette is back with a sleek new update as PUMA introduce the ‘Tech Edition’ Pack for Autumn/Winter 2014.

Arriving in the 90’s, the Blaze of Glory quickly stole the limelight on the running track not only down to its elegant aesthetic but the shoes design and trademark Trinomic cushioning made it a favourite performance shoe for runners. Despite its heritage, the shoes design looks like one from the future and its latest rework enforces that as premium materials and laser cut perforations are applied for a distinct finish. With a rugged leather upper, the pack sees two ultra clean colour ways – black and copeon blue, sitting on a predominantly white midsole.
