Raised By Wolves AW15

Raised By Wolves Fall/Winter 2015 Lookbook

Having arrived in UK stores at the end of last week, we can now take a closer look at the latest collection from Canadian natives Raised By Wolves, showcased in this stunning lookbook shot by regular collaborator and world renowned photographer Trashhand.

With every season, we wait in eager anticipation to see the latest set of visuals that Raised By Wolves put together, because you know they’re always going to be special. Having linked up with several high profile photographers to highlight different releases in the past, they look once again to the trustworthy lens of Trashhand as they head out in to the great outdoors of British Columbia, capturing RBW’s considered line up of weather ready goods for Fall/Winter 2015.

The collection is heavily athletic influenced and looks to a variety of sports including hockey, rugby and baseball to inform their designs. Being deeply rooted in streetwear, there is the usual staple silhouettes including graphic tees and long-sleeves featuring designs from Canadian artists Jeff Hamada and Fergus “Fergadelic” Purcell, as well as sweaters, sweatpants and a strong headwear selection made up of beanies, 5-panels and the stand out Laurentian 7 panel caps made from a mix of Melton wool and brushed bull denim. The brand definitely sways towards the more high-end of the streetwear spectrum and its cut and sew line proves it, including lightweight coach jackets, turtlenecks and even a collaborative anorak hoodie with Trashhand, shows how the brand continues to push things forward with it’s designs. Rounding off the release is an array of accessories which include long burn candles, incense and deer skin palmed gloves.

The Raised By Wolves Fall/Winter 2015 collection is available now at UK retailers including Urban Industry, The Chimp Store and KRUSOE.

Brixton Fall 2015 Lookbook

Brixton have dropped their latest set of visuals to showcase offerings from the Californian brands well rounded Fall 2015 collection.

Something that we have always admired about Brixton is their ability to stick closely to their core values, drawing from the laid back Californian lifestyle, encompassing the music, culture and the people around them, and still managing to deliver exciting collections season after season. Their latest release for Fall 2015 sticks closely to what we have seen from the brand previously, building on their instantly recognisable aesthetic with a collection full of versatile styles.

Headwear remains the staple throughout the Fall collection, which also sees a focus on the outerwear department, ranging from hooded puffer jackets to biker inspired leather jackets. You have the Brixton essentials in the t-shirts, long-sleeves, hoodies and sweaters alongside more considered pieces in the button-down shirts, robust trouser designs and knit options for the colder weather. There is an emphasis on keeping things simple as they reference traditional designs and utilise hard wearing, reliable materials such as corduroy and flannel. Sticking to an autumnal colour palette throughout, all pieces are able to look good on their own or layered as temperatures begin to drop.

The Brixton Fall 2015 collection is available now at select stores including Note Shop, The Chimp Store and 5Pointz

Levi’s Skateboarding Fall/Winter 2015 Lookbook

Levi’s skateboarding unveil their latest collection for Fall/Winter 2015, which sees the brand draw inspiration from the working class citizens of their hometown of San Francisco.

Already a hugely popular brand amongst skaters worldwide, the heritage denim label made the seamless transition into skate after announcing their first skate focused collection in Autumn of 2013, and this season they continue to develop the line with another well rounded collection of robust, skate ready apparel.

One of skateboardings iconic photographs of all time would inform the collections aesthetic, in which photographer Bryce Knights captures Mark Gonzales shredding a vert wall in Alcatraz federal penitentiary, located seven miles into San Francisco Bay. From this, Levi’s centred the collection around the styles worn by those who were involved in building SF’s Golden Gate Bridge back in the 30’s, with the designers pulling key styles of the times from the Levi’s archive and giving them a modern update.

Within the collection we find the popular slim fit work pant’s alongside denim jeans that arrive in a variety of washes. Key cut and sew pieces in the chambray quilted shirts and lined denim chore coat are the stand out pieces from the release, which is bulked out by two pack striped tees and rounded off with hard-wearing sweaters and sweatpants that offer unrivalled comfort during movement. Arriving with the slogan ‘strong made stronger’, you know that you’re getting quality in construction with each piece built for a purpose by a brand who are famed for their long lasting, timeless designs.

To commemorate the release, Levi’s have put together this short clip of Marius Syvanen and Pat Moran skating through Oakland. The Levi’s Skateboarding Fall/Winter 2015 collection is available now over on the brands web-store.

Dickies AW15 European Lookbook

Dickies have linked up with London based creative agency Peach Fuzz to put together this clean portrait-led lookbook to highlight key styles from the brands Autumn/Winter 2015 collection.

A company that is renowned for its robust, functional designs and its rich heritage in protective workwear, more recent times have seen Dickies adopted by different markets across the globe, including skate and the more fashion focused. Because of this the brand has adapted and developed its designs, with modern updates to their traditional silhouettes to appeal to the different tastes and trends of each audience.

This Autumn/Winter release shows diversity from the historic US label, taking a ‘unique European sensibility’ into consideration while honouring the authentic and functional design approach that has been a huge part of the Dickies story. Hickory stripe dungarees, heavyweight flannel shirting and chore jackets give a nod to the brands workwear roots, while polo shirts, selvedge denim jeans, parka jackets, chinos and hoodies give the collection a more casual, streetwear twist.
