Magenta Fall/Winter 2014 – Lookbook and Infinity Series

Magenta take to the streets of their hometown Bordeaux to capture their latest apparel offering for Fall 2014 alongside their Infinity deck series.

The skater owned and operated brand continue the brands unique artistic direction as they draw themes from revolutionary art movements including the renaissance period to the surrealists. Each of these movements helped changed perspectives and this is something deeply rooted within Magenta’s core values and overall aim. Flying the flag for independent french skate brands at the minute, their latest release is concise, featuring graphic based tees, hoodies, sweaters and a jacket, as well as a range of headwear bearing the brands signature logo.

This season also sees a selection of new pro graphics introduced, one from each team member and also some guest appearances from Carlos Young, photographer Richard Hart and a cruiser model from Mike Manzoori.

MAGENTA Skateboards – Crossing the Perth Dimension

Magenta are one of the most exciting skate brands to come out of France in the past few years, with solid designs for both their decks and apparel range, as well as a unique style in photography and video.

Last April (2013) the Magenta team travelled to Perth, one of the most remote cities on earth, to link up with their Australian connect to produce a 10 minute short film by Josh Roberts. The film features Leo Valls, Jimmy Lannon and Koichiro Uehara, as well as Australian rider James Whineray, longtime friend Liu Puli and the Perth locals.

The film is shot in a mixture of VX-1000 and Super8 footage from Josh Roberts, James Whineray and Leo Valls, and also includes analog photography from Liu Puli, James Whineray, Garth Mariano and Josh Roberts, with illustrations by Soy Panday.
