Theobalds1

Introducing: Theobalds Cap Co.

Hailing out of central London, Theolbalds Cap Co. present their inaugural collection of headwear this season, inspired by the big-smokes skate scene.

The idea began in a top-floor Holborn flat, which over three years would see some of the UK's most exciting up-and-coming skate talent pass through and stay. From night's out, days in and filming sessions across the city, Theobalds was born and now acts as a tangible representation of those experiences.

The brand cites their influences as classic sportswear apparel as well as London's unique skate scene, and their inaugural release translates these themes in to a concise range of premium cap designs. The classic logo cap is offered up in a navy/white and tonal black options, constructed from a full cotton twill and finished with a bold stitched 'T' logo on the front and embroidered ‘Theobalds’ branding on the back. Two premium wool strap-back designs complete the release with the Chimney ball cap, which acts as a nod to London's rooftop views with a 'Back on Top' Chimney graphic embroidered on to the front and the classic logo cap, which once again featuring the appliquéd 'T' logo added to the front. Both styles are finished with leather & brass strap adjustment and the added 'Theobalds' embroidery on the back.

Theobalds Cap Co. will be available from June at selected retailers including Slam City Skates, Flatspot. and Endemic.

5Boro Decks 2

5Boro x Brendan “5B Moto Series”

5Boro are back at it again, bringing the hype with another board series, this time teaming up with 'digital folk' artist Brendan on the new 5Boro Moto release. Comprised of 6 pro-deck's, the series draws inspiration from the bold and bright colour ways and graphics used in extreme sports clothing and equipment throughout the late 80's and early 90's, applying big type, a retro colour treatment and cartoon style drawings against a white background. The 5Boro x Brendan "5B Moto Series" is available online now over on the brands website so I'm sure we'll be seeing it in UK stockists shortly.

Supreme x ANTIHERO Summer 2016

Supreme and ANTIHERO follow up their 2014 collaborative capsule release with an extensive collection for Summer 2016.

The release is definitely one of Supreme's more obvious ventures, for two camps who have given so much and share such a storied history in skateboarding to come together makes perfect sense, and the collection provides a tangible representation of both brands free wheeling attitude. The diverse collection is comprised of staple silhouettes including tees, hoodies and sweaters, alongside more considered items such as short-sleeve shirts, lightweight outerwear and workwear style bottoms. A hybrid logo design featuring ANTIHERO's iconic eagle reworked with a subtle Supreme box logo detailing features throughout, as well as 'The Pope/Slayer' design on select pieces. The cohesive release is rounded off with four deck designs, again featuring the hybrid logo and Pope logo, while all pieces in the collection follow a rich colour palette of yellow, red, green, black and white.

To celebrate the release, long-time collaborate Will Strobeck has put together a short clip featuring ANTIHERO's Andy Roy, Raney Beres and more, hanging out and skating through the city. The Supreme x ANTIHERO Summer 2016 collection will be launching at the brands London, NY, LA and Paris locations, as well as online, from June 2nd.

For it's latest rework, Van Der Linden has kept it stealthy with a black suede applied to the upper with tonal leather detailing on the side stripe and heel paneling. The shoe is accented with a special light olive colour on the lacing, Vans heel stamp and custom Van Der Linden print on the heel.

Daan had this to say on the shoe...

“I am really happy with how it turned out, and even more so as I wanted to include suede throughout. One of the areas I looked at in great detail was the extra toe protection, which I wanted to be complimented by great board feel. In the final outcome, I think we’ve accomplished both”!
