adidas Skateboards Matchcourt Mid UNC x Marc Johnson

 adidas Skateboarding have unveiled a new variation of the popular Matchcourt Mid, combining with global rider Marc Johnson on the design. Announcing the release with a comical sitcom style commercial dubbed "On Your Marc", which follows Marc and his shoe's unbreakable bond, it's the first shoe from Marc since his controversial move from Lakai to adidas.

 Fusing style and functionality, the latest update to the classic Matchcourt maintains its performance features such as the moulded PU sockliner for comfort and cushioning upon impact. Aesthetically, it's one of our favourite reworks of the shoe to date, which has been draped in a premium pig nubuck suede in Pantone 542 - the same blue used by the University of North Carolina, giving a nod to MJ's native state. Additional details include contrasting white leather three stripe branding, rubberised toe cap and lacing, rounded off with a subtle gold foil MJ branding on the side panels.

Newly introduced footwear brand State have unveiled their first video project dubbed ‘Free’, which has been put together by Colin Read (aka @mandibleclaw). The 9-minute clip, which is the first instalment of three projects this year, features Ben Gore, Jordan Sanchez & Jon Nguyen amongst others. HUF x Sammy Winter

 Paying homage to his native Australia, Sammy Winter and HUF have combined on a small release this season which takes a focus on clean, classic designs across staple pieces built for skating. The pro-rider's capsule collection consists of long and short sleeve tees, caps and a pull over hoody, all of which stick to a monochrome colour palette and features custom Sammy Winter branding applied throughout as prints or embroidery. Rounding off the release, Sammy has gone to work on a pair of HUF Classic Hi's, which maintain their popular shape and Perfshock insole, but have been updated with a supple yet durable white leather upper and detailed with Winter's logo branding on the tongue, heel and insole. 

 The HUF x Sammy Winter capsule has landed in limited quantities in the UK now. You can pick up your favourite piece at Bored Of Southsea or Route One

Habitat Skateboards x Twin Peaks

 As the highly anticipated 3rd season approaches, Twin Peaks and it's co-creator David Lynch have combined with Habitat Skateboards on a limited collection of hard and soft goods which feature several characters and references from the show. 

 Following a 25 year hiatus, the cult series is set to return to our screens this May with 18 brand-new episodes.  To keep those appetites wet in the meantime, Habitat, who have previously paid homage to the likes of Pink Floyd and Animal Collective with capsule releases, are set to release a comprehensive range of tees, beanies, pin badges and decks featuring artwork and lines from the show, as well as the 'damn good coffee' mug to cap off the release.

Watch: FIFTEEN YEARS OF SB DUNK

As Nike SB continue to celebrate 15 years of the SB Dunk, they have combined with Vice’s Sport channel on a short documentary that explores the history of the iconic silhouette.

The video focuses on the shoes relevance to both the skate community and sneakerheads, held in high regard for their functional assets for the former and more for their desirable aesthetic’s for the latter. We also find out more on the inception of Nike’s skate department, how and why they built the team they did and how the skate community adopted the Dunk back in 2002 – talking to skaters, shop owners and collaborators across the globe and hearing their stories on the shoe.

Vans Pro Skate ArcAd present Quasi Crockett Pro 2

 In championing the progression of skate culture - Vans have introduced ArcAd, an elevated, limited-distribution range of Pro Skate classified product delivered to the top tier skate stores across the globe. 

 To announce the project, ArcAd starts as it means to go on with a big hitter - a special-edition take on the Crockett Pro 2 and Slip-On Lite, teaming up Gilbert's board sponsor Quasi Skateboards. Available in extremley small quantities, the Crockett Pro 2 ArcAd maintains it's innovative features which include the comfort enhancing Ultracush HD insole and durable Wafflecup outsole. The shoes upper has been reworked with a custom one-piece woven jacquard which takes cues from Quasi's signature boom pattern, which has also been fitted with translucent Rapidweld layers to provide lightweight reinforcement where it's needed most. Accompanying the Crockett Pro 2, we also see a re-engineered Slip-On Lite again featuring the 'Boom' pattern and customer Ultracush insole. Rounding off the release is a custom labeled satin-lined cinch backpack which doubles up as a tote bag which aligns with the footwear release.
