The Decades Holiday 2015 Lookbook

The Decades take a mature approach to casual headwear as they present their latest collection for Holiday 2015, captured in this simplistic lookbook.

Despite being a fairly new introduction to the market, the Philadelphia brand has continued to make an impression on the global scene, with various stockists worldwide thanks to their quality headwear designs. Following on from their ‘Olympics’ inspired collection from earlier this year, the brand have delivered a new selection of caps and apparel, combining elements of vintage sportswear within their design. The Holiday 2015 release is a good reflection of the brands progress and shows how much they have developed, with a considered approach towards everything from the logo designs to the materials used. The collection consists of 6-panels, deconstructed strap backs, curved brim polo caps and beanies, featuring custom embroidery and patchwork detailing throughout, with simplistic colour blocking in numerous colour options. Rounding off the release is a concise selection of apparel which includes hoodies and lightweight satin bomber jackets featuring bold graphic back prints, again aligning with the vintage athletic themes.

The Decades Holiday 2015 collection is available now on the brands webstore. The collection should hopefully be arriving on our shores shortly with the brands UK stockists, however there hasn’t been any solid confirmation, so be sure to check back for updates.

DEATHTRAP “North/South” Capsule Collection

London streetwear label DEATHTRAP present their latest collection dubbed “North/South”, a monochromatic offering inspired by the famous tagline “South of Heaven / North of Hell”.

Having debuted their inaugural collection in the summer of last year, DEATHTRAP, fronted by Prevalence Creative Co. designer Tom Winslade, has continued to develop its minimal, clean approach to casual streetwear design. The latest collection keeps it simple and aligns with the brands previous releases, comprised of streetwear staples that includes tees, long-sleeves, hoodies, all of which have been designed to be worn oversized. The monochromatic colour palette is reflective of the contrasting tagline from which the collection is inspired, with each piece available in black or white options.

For the visuals, DEATHTRAP have teamed up with London photographer Vicky Grout to capture the release in the brands natural city environment. You can shop the DEATHTRAP “North/South“ collection over on the brands website now.

Carhartt WIP x Stüssy AW15 Lookbook

As Carhartt WIP continue their 25th anniversary celebrations, they now look to iconic streetwear brand Stüssy to apply their creative direction to several of their iconic workwear silhouettes.

Both brands share a rich and celebrated history in streetwear, embraced by several subcultures across the years and hugely influential in the market as we know it today. Through sticking closely to their own instantly recognisable aesthetics and continuing to innovate season after season, the joint effort from Carhartt WIP and Stüssy seems the perfect way to celebrate 25 years of authenticity.

The collaborative release consists of a chore jacket, lined vest, lux-zip hoodie, ruck single knee pant, bucket hat and beanie, utilising Carhartt WIP’s hard wearing material application in construction and combining this with Stüssy’s signature logo graphics, aligning with both brands values of quality and comfort. The release has been captured in this minimal editorial shot by photographer Ari Marcopoulos and styled by Tom Guinness in New York City.

The Carhartt WIP x Stüssy AW15 Collection drops this Friday, the 20th of November, at Stüssy Chapter Stores, Carhartt WIP retailers and www.stussy.com.

Reebok Classics x Wood Wood AW15 Collection

Danish contemporary streetwear brand Wood Wood have come together with Reebok Classics to create a considered capsule release this season, inspired by 90’s British street culture.

The collection is centred around the sportswear themes and logo-centric designs that were so familiar on the streets of the British Isle’s in previous decades, drawing from the extensive archive of Reebok Classics, pulling out classic designs that were hugely popular around that time. Consisting of a tees, polo tops, sweatshirts and a tracksuit, alongside functional outerwear pieces and a small selection of headwear, the capsule combines technical fabrications and detailing with laid back silhouettes to give a true representation of both brands approach. The collection arrives in a predominantly monochromatic colour palette and utilises bold motifs from both reebok Classics and Wood Wood, applying them as graphic prints throughout the release.

To round of the capsule collection, the pair have also combined to rework Reebok’s classic Ventilator silhouette with a greyscale colour application, while incorporating various technical fabrications in the design to align with the apparel range.

The Reebok Classics x Wood Wood AW15 Collection will be arriving at Wood Wood stores on Saturday the 14th of November and will be launching at select retailers and Reebok Classic Stores worldwide on November 28th

Footpatrol x ALIFE AW15 Capsule Collection

Two camps that are deeply rooted in the sneaker industry come together this season, as London’s Footpatrol and New York’s ALIFE join forces on a small capsule release.

Aside from a co-branded tee to commemorate the event, this will be the first time the pair have worked together on an apparel release, as Footpatrol apply their creative direction to a selection of staple streetwear pieces that ALIFE the brand is perhaps best known for.  The capsule draws inspiration from each stores surroundings, looking to Soho, London and Lower East Side, New York to inform the designs. Comprised of t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters and some lightweight outerwear pieces, the collection arrives in a monochrome colour palette with pops of red from Alife’s box logo and Footpatrol’s signature gas mask logo, both of which have been printed and embroidered on to different pieces throughout the release.
