ONLY NY SS15 Lookbook

 

New York’s ONLY NY pay homage to their city in their latest set of visuals, highlighting key pieces from their Spring/Summer 2015 collection.

Shot by regular collaborator Ashton Alexander, the lookbook utilises the sunny city scape as a backdrop to showcase a range of staple streetwear items including graphic tees, fleeces, light outerwear and a selection of weather appropriate headwear. The collection sticks largely to ONLY NY’s identifiable aesthetic, with subtle colour applications, bold hand drawn prints and several reworks of the brands logo.

Undeniably New York through and through, the ONLY NY Spring/Summer 2015 collection will be available shortly in UK retailers including Urban Industry, 5Pointz and Chimp Store.

GARBSTORE SS15

Garbstore SS15 “Cornerstone” Lookbook

 

Notting Hill mainstay Garbstore present a selection of seasonal looks from their current inventory in this minimal lookbook, aptly named “Cornerstone”.

Following up on their in-house visuals earlier this year, their latest lookbook focuses on a selection of key pieces from some of the most revered brands they stock including Engineered Garments, Norse Projects, Palace, Needles and more, as well subtle features from their in-house designs and also utilising their Spring footwear collaboration with Reebok Classics.

The claustrophobic setting helps to highlight a series of contemporary looks, combining numerous themes in an array of garments including staple pieces, accessories and more technical outerwear.

HUF-Canvas-Pack-2015-Lookbook (3)

HUF “Canvas Pack”

 San Francisco based HUF follow up their main line Spring/Summer releases with a concise capsule collection made up of seasonal footwear and headwear staples entitled “Canvas Pack”.

 Drawing inspiration from 1950’s American culture, the collection consists of headwear, footwear and light jacketing options constructed from 100% Cotton Duck Canvas. The release strips back on graphics and prints, whilst quality in the detailing is high. The Bucket Hats feature polished metal eyelets and vegan tanned leather labels, while new colour ways in the popular Classic Lo silhouette are introduced. The collection is rounded off nicely with the fitted Gas Station Jacket, which features woven patch details and a zipper slash chest pocket, really giving off the 1950’s automobile vibes. The colour way’s are kept fairly minimal throughout sticking to black, whites and reds.

Edwin x Blitz

Edwin X Blitz Spring/Summer 2015

 

Continuing to build upon their storied relationship, Japanese denim brand Edwin link up once again with the Parisian based duo behind renowned motorcycle company ‘Blitz Motorcycles’ for another strong capsule collection ready for Spring/Summer 2015.

The latest collaborative effort compliments Edwin’s current offering for the season with a range of hard-wearing staple pieces alongside strong graphic tees that feature various logo designs from Blitz. The collection utilises premium Japanese cotton and jersey within its construction, offering functionality and quality in it’s design. A monochromatic colour theme is applied throughout the collection which is rounded off nicely with a selection of patches and accessories that add to the releases ‘biker aesthetic’. Stand out pieces include the Blitz Field Shirt in khaki that features custom patchwork, elbow patches and front pockets, and could easily work as an over shirt option.

Orsman Clothing SS15

Orsman Outerwear Spring/Summer 2015

 

London based Orsman Clothing return with a new selection of seasonal outwear for Spring/Summer 2015.

The label is the brainchild of skateboarder Greg Finch, who also works closely with revived surf/skate brand Life’s a Beach, playing a huge part in their resurgence, as well as being closely linked with UK powerhouse Palace Skateboards and footwear brand Pointer. Orsman draws its inspiration from classic sportswear silhouettes and is designed with the rigours of everyday life in mind. Style is achieved and maintained through their considered fits and quality in construction, while premium materials and production are sourced from within Europe.

London creative agency Peach Fuzz have worked closely with the brand to produce this minimal look book, showcasing their latest release for Spring/Summer, the brands 3rd full season, which again shows development and growth in their collections.  The outerwear range within the release successfully merges streetwear and retro athletic themes, drawing additional inspiration from nautical themes for its colour palette, materials and shapes across several lightweight jacketing options. Stand out pieces include colour blocked windbreakers, fitted bomber jackets and a selection of casual sweater options.

Grand Scheme Summer 2015 Lookbook

 

Australia’s Grand Scheme present their latest visuals showcasing their Summer 2015 collection.

The brand have gained attention from their bold prints and vibrant patterns, presented through on laid back street ready designs. Founded back in 2006, their rebellious attitude and DIY spirit has seen the brand play an important role in Australia’s recent streetwear movement across the globe.  Grand Scheme also boasts a rich heritage and strong affiliation to some of the worlds most popular hip hop acts, which is also a key theme throughout their collections amongst numerous others inspirations.

Their warm weather line up follows on from previous releases, incorporating various prints, utilising several technical fabrics and drawing from a range of themes including sportswear and military inspirations. The collection aligns with their visuals, keeping things fairly simple and clean with functional, contemporary design. Mixing strong graphics and premium cut and sew, it’s a diverse release with stand out pieces including button down shirting, several headwear options including the stand out marble print bucket hats, mesh shorts and mesh panelled tees, printed long sleeved crew necks, summer ready beach shorts, and lightweight, functional outerwear pieces.

KR3W x French Spring/Summer 2015

 

 KR3w link up with UK artist Funeral French a.k.a Richard Sayer for their latest collaborative effort this Spring/Summer 2015.

Co-owner and art director of 1939 Skates and Witchcraft, French is a globally renowned artist and skateboarder famed for his instantly recognisable style that depicts darkness, war and terror, through meticulously illustrated pieces. French has managed to stand out from the rest and gain the interest he has throughout his career through sticking to his guns, mastering his unique style and from this has produced some of the most sought after pieces in his field of music, fashion and more notably skateboarding.

KR3w’s dark aesthetic matches up perfectly with French’s style and the two coming together in the brands latest collaborative effort seems like a match made in heaven. Part of KR3w’s ‘Rights Refused’ campaign, the concise collection is made up of staple pieces including a tee, long sleeve and cap which all adorn an exclusive graphic from French that gives his rendition of Death and also features the motto ‘Fast life, Slow Death’ – KR3W’s take on the classic ‘Live fast, die young’ saying.
