PUMA introduce the Premium “PERF” Pack

Two of PUMA‘s most coveted silhouettes – the R698 and the low profile States, get a nostalgic rework as part of the brands Fast Track line for Spring 2015, in the “Perf” pack.

Each silhouette debuted in two separate, yet equally pivotal, era’s for the brand and both styles moved the brand forward in terms of performance sneaker design in running and basketball respectively. The States, or Suede as it is also known, surfaced back in the 80’s and the shoe was quickly adopted by the hip-hop affiliated of New York City and soon after those with similar interests in the UK, who decided to re-name the shoe after its birthplace ‘The States’. The 90’s saw the arrival of the sleek R698 silhouette, born into an era of peak innovation in PUMA’s performance footwear story. With the introduction of Trinomic sole the shoe would revolutionise PUMA’s running designs and as with many popular running styles, would eventually make the transition into the lifestyle market.

The Perf Pack sees 3 tonal colour options of blue, grey and black applied to both styles. The upper is constructed from a smooth nubuck with perforations from the toe box through to the mid- foot sitting on a contrasting stark white midsole.

The PUMA “Perf” pack is available at selected retailers now including Urban Industry, 5Pointz and The Chimp Store.

PUMA ‘Crackle Pack’ Trinomic Disc Blaze

Continuing themes from the previous release, the Disc blaze receives the same 3 colour reworks as the R698, XT2+ and The Blaze Of Glory, arriving in grey with purple, burgundy with teal and black with fuschia pink options. A rich, soft hackshaw leather graces the upper, which features a perforated toe box and the iconic disc lace fastening system. The shoes contrasting white Trinomic midsole is finished with a subtle crackle print around the heel to complete the look.

PUMA Trinomic ‘Crackle’ Pack

We thought PUMA had already seen out 2014 in style with the recent release of the awesome ‘Marble Pack’ , but we were wrong. They’ve got one more major release up their sleeve and capping off a great year for the brand, PUMA introduce the ‘Crackle’ pack consisting of several new iterations of three core Trinomic shapes.

The collection takes tennis themes and applies them to running silhouettes, as the Blaze of Glory, XT2+ and R698 get colour and material reworks inspired by the cracking surfaces and lines of clay tennis courts. The shoes are constructed from rich leather with nubuck toe boxes on the upper, accentuated with cracked effect TPU overlays. Despite all falling under the same theme, each shoe brings something different to the release, a selection of colour treatments are applied, with 9 styles in all, each making use of subtle detailing for a clean finish.

An additional silhouette is due to drop in January 2015 from the pack which, if it continues in the same vein, I’m sure will be another great release from PUMA. The ‘Crackle’ pack will be available from Hanon, END. and size? from the 27th of December.

PUMA Trinomic ‘Green Box’ Pack

PUMA give a bold rework to 3 key Trinomic styles this season as they present the appropriately named ‘Green Box’ Pack.

For those PUMA footwear fans out there or to anyone who has purchased a Trinomic shoe before, the particular colour of green used may seem familiar. Thats because Pantone’s ‘ Classic Green’ is the colour applied to the iconic Trinomic box and it turns out the same green works pretty well on some of your favourite PUMA silhouettes too.

Featuring up to date reworks of the Blaze of Glory, R698 and XT2+, the pack makes use of a variety of premium materials and subtle details to give a unique finish. The Blaze of Glory boasts a mesh upper with nubuck overlays, the R698 has textured nylon and mesh mix on the upper with additional green piping and last but not least the lightweight XT2+ is given a white, full grain leather formstripe. Each shoe features a contrasting crystal white midsole and white branding, with 3M hexagonal detailing and red pops on the heel.
