Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Moire Collection – Spring 2015

Nike bring in the New Year with their latest re-work of Tinker Hatfield’s iconic Air Max 1 silhouette as they present the Ultra Moire collection.

Back in 2006, Nike released one of it’s most underrated running silhouettes to date in the Zoom Moire, which was also one of the first Nike shapes to be made with consideration for the Nike+ technology that we all take for granted these days. Nike have taken cues from the 2006 release as they apply a seamless perforated upper to their latest rendition of the Air Max 1.

The Ultra Moire is simplistic in its aesthetic but holds a premium feel with synthetic suede gracing the laser perforated, one piece upper. The latest iteration of the Air Max 1 debuts the new ‘Natural Motion’ outsole unit that reduces the amount of material used, dramatically improving flexibility and reduces weight.  The Black/White colour way shown above features a black and white mix on the upper with a contrasting white outsole, accentuated with 3M detailing on the mudguard, eyelets and the swoosh.

The Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Moire will be available from nike.com/sportswear and selected Nike Sportswear retailers.

Nike Air Max 90 – Escape QS

As part of Nike Sportswear’s ‘Escape’ collection, the popular Air Max 90 gets an Autumnal rework for the Holiday season.

Amongst a bevy of winterised releases from Nike this season,  the ‘Escape’ capsule collection maintains the shoes original designs whilst applying premium materials for a robust finish. The “Escape” collection was debuted back in 1988, and its latest iteration channels heritage styles, again taking inspiration from festive celebrations, the sharing of gifts and home cooked food and drink, while updating them for 2014.

The shoe’s design utilizes rich, oil-finished leather on the upper and winterised upgrades are applied to the classic Air Max 90 sole unit with an extra grippy outsole to combat wet and icy conditions. Brown, orange and a light bone colour mix, reminiscent of the Autumn leaves, grace the upper with pops of red and black on the heel and iconic swoosh branding.

Nike Air Max Lunar1

Nike’s forward thinking design process has seen the brand place itself proudly at the top of footwear innovation for many years now. Having introduced the world to a revolution in comfort with the Nike Air all the way back in 1987, Nike now apply the latest Lunarlon technology to one of their most iconic silhouettes – the Air Max 1.

As the Air technology did back in the 80’s, the Lunarlon will once again redefine cushioning in footwear more than two decades later. Introducing two colour ways, including the OG, in the lightest Air Max to date, the shoe takes a new twist as the Air Max bubble is combined with the Lunarlon foam sole to create a new classic. Again pushing the boundaries of innovation, the upper features no-sew mesh panelling allowing for breathability and once again maintaining their commitment to lightweight comfort.

The Air Max Lunar1 is available now at nike.com and selected Nike retailers.
