Carhartt WIP Skateboarding have unveiled their latest video project – AZZURO from filmmaker Ludo Azemar. Centred around Sicilian born skater Mauro Caruso, the clip is cut against a backdrop of Gibellina Nuova, Azzurro, exploring the unique architecture and art scene of the old Italian town.

Converse x Carhartt WIP Chuck Taylor All Star ’70s

 

 Two icons come together this season, as Carhartt WIP and Converse combine for the first time ever to produce three new iterations of the classic Chuck Taylor All Star 70's silhouette. 

 Inspired by Carhartt's workwear roots with a nod to military aesthetic, the ever popular low top style has been updated with WIP's signature utilitarian fabrics - drill, canvas and ripstop, which have been applied to the upper of each respective colour way. Offered up in off-white, brown and tiger camo print, each pair features off-white lacing and subtle red detailing on the outsole.

The Converse & Carhartt WIP Chuck Taylor All Star '70s collab is dropping on the Carhartt WIP web store and Converse’s web store, as well as selected retailers including size? on June the 1st.

Carhartt WIP X Alexey Kiselev ‘Broken Views’ Editorial

 

 Combining with Russian photographer Alexey Kiselev, Carhartt WIP present their latest editorial paying homage to the youth culture and celebrated style of Eastern Europe. 

 The photo series was shot within an old automobile factory out in Moscow which was built during the Soviet Constructivist movement, and highlights numerous key pieces from their SS17 collection, once again focused on updated workwear classics. Military themes take centre stage with tiger camo, olive's and sand colour palettes featuring heavy on robust and functional styles - from flight jackets to dungarees.

Carhartt WIP x P.A.M SS17

 

 Melbourne based lifestyle brand Perks and Mini have come together with Carhartt WIP on a collaborative collection this season dubbed "Radio Club", which draws inspiration from the early days of broadcasting. P.A.M continue with their unique graphical direction throughout, which sees their designs applied to a range of robust streetwear staples. The collection sticks to a strict colour palette of black, white and pale pink, taking a focus on bold typography and playful logo's which is continued through each piece.

Carhartt WIP ‘Alone At Last’ SS17 Editorial

 

 Having given us a detailed look at their new seasonal collection last month, Carhartt WIP have now combined with photographer Colin Sussingham and creative director Hayden Taatjes to showcase the collection in a brand knew editorial named "Alone At Last". The visuals capture some of the key pieces from the latest offering against the baron landscape of Joshua Tree, California. The rugged construction of the updated workwear silhouettes go hand in hand with the terrain, as they pay homage to earlier decades and the timelessness of the range.

 The Carhartt WIP Spring/Summer 2017 collection is available now online and in-store, including select retailers.

Carhartt WIP Spring/Summer 2017 Lookbook

 

 Carhartt's streetwear department have unveiled their latest set of wares for the Spring/Summer 2017, offering up several updated takes on staple workwear silhouettes. Ready for the warner months we see graphic heavy tees and long sleeves, alongside patterned short sleeved shirts. With consideration for those unpredictable days as well the collection takes a strong focus towards light outerwear pieces, which ranges from utility vests to coach jackets, utilising robust yet lightweight materials to combine function and style. 

 

The Carhartt WIP Spring/Summer 2017 collection is available at the brands physical locations and online store now, as well as select retailers.

Isle, Carhartt WIP & Raphael Zarka present: Paving Space

 

Isle and Carhartt WIP have come together with contemporary artist Raphael Zarka on a new project named "Paving Space: A collaboration between ISLE Skateboards, Raphaël Zarka and Carhartt WIP." which combines elements from the art world and skateboarding.

Isle are renowned for their unique artistic vision which is translated through their various deck graphic and apparel designs, and their latest collaborative project highlights their artistry with a new approach on apparel design and deck graphics. As well as the collection, the trio have worked on a physical exhibition which showcases the geometric designs from the collection in the form of solid wooden sculptures which doubles up as skate-able art - something we've seen in Raphaël Zarka's previous work.

The collection will be available from Carhartt WIP stores and online from the 18th of November. You can check out the exhibition at London's Protein Studios, which will be running from November 18th to November 24th.
