California based label Black Scale are known for their dark themes. Inspired by religion, identity and death, they develop products that stem from comparisons to their own lives.

Brand Updates: Harry Stedman X Golden Bear

We are huge fan’s of varisty jackets here at The Level and this collaboration between Harry Stedman and Golden Bear definitely doesn’t disappoint.

The London based contemporary menswear brand linked up with one of San Francisco’s finest exports. Since starting out in 1922, Golden Bear have continued to produce high quality, well constructed Jackets, using only the best materials.

Harry Stedman have added their own touches to the original, including some new features such as the leather on the back of the cuff and their own colour palette.

Rook brand present the second delivery of their Holiday 2013 collection. The look book was shot by LA based photographer DoomCrue.

The latest release once again explores multiple facets of design and also sees Rook expand into new territory – Cut and Sew. There is a high attention to details and textures, as Rook use a variety of materials and fabrics to continue to push the limits of design.

The Ice Cutter from Red Wing is the perfect boot for the cold winter days. The wool lined boot was built in memory of the now-extinct job of ice cutting, with the ice men needing boots that would keep their feet warm and prevent them slipping on the ice.

The new release from Red Wing is built with a waterproof black and brown Otter Tail leather that withstands snow, ice and salt. The 100% natural wool-felt lining and footbed is not only comfortable but also provides inherent insulation.

Swedish outdoor clothing company Fjallraven are well known for their extensive collection in backpacks and bags, in particular the Kanken rucksack.

Street Style – Vans #2

So here is the second part to our Vans OTW street style shoot.

The shoots not only show us what the OTW collection has to offer, but also sees an appearance from a Vans staple classic. The Old Skools are most definitely a key piece for this season, with the new ‘Vintage’ pack celebrating the shoes rich heritage, almost 36 years after it was first released.

The vintage pack Old Skools see a welcome return to old stylings from rich tonal suede with contrasting leather-lined collars to the canvas tongue.
