Watch: FIFTEEN YEARS OF SB DUNK

 

As Nike SB continue to celebrate 15 years of the SB Dunk, they have combined with Vice’s Sport channel on a short documentary that explores the history of the iconic silhouette.

The video focuses on the shoes relevance to both the skate community and sneakerheads, held in high regard for their functional assets for the former and more for their desirable aesthetic’s for the latter. We also find out more on the inception of Nike’s skate department, how and why they built the team they did and how the skate community adopted the Dunk back in 2002 – talking to skaters, shop owners and collaborators across the globe and hearing their stories on the shoe.

15 Years Of SB Dunk

 

In celebrating 15 years of the iconic SB Dunk silhouette, Nike SB have unveiled an interactive site which takes a retrospective look in to one of the brands most revered skateboarding styles, since the Dunk Low pro was first introduced back in 2002.

Inside the site you can find a preview of 3 upcoming Dunk releases, a look in to the archive, as well as a nostalgic video featuring the likes of Brian Anderson, Grant Taylor, Gino Iannucci,  P-Rod and many more.
