Asics Tiger x Packer 'Dirty Buck'

Asics Tiger x Packer Gel Lyte III “Dirty Buck”

As part of the Gel Lyte III’s 25th anniversary celebrations, Asics Tiger link up with Packer to offer their creative take on the iconic runner in the “Dirty Buck” pack.

The New Jersey boutiques iteration of the Gel Lyte III follows Mita Sneakers of Tokyo’s ‘Far East’ effort that dropped earlier this year, Packer’s take is slightly more toned down version of the silhouette. Taking inspiration from the classic dress shoe which holds the same name ‘Dirty Buck’, the rework arrives in a premium taupe coloured suede construction on the upper, with white leather hits on the tongue and a kind of toast-like colouring on the lining and heel cup. Additional features include the embossed Packer logo on the heel and tonal laces, all of which sits on top of a dusty brick midsole that is reminiscent of the original ‘Dirty Buck’ shoe.

The Asics Tiger x Packer ‘Dirty Buck’ will be available at the following stockists from February the 28th;

KR3W Spring 2015

KR3W Spring 2015 Lookbook

Prior to KR3W‘s Fall/Winter 2014 release we were lucky enough to catch up with Jack Toledo, KR3W’s design director. We touched on how the brand and it’s collections were continuing to mature and develop, to produce more considered lifestyle driven pieces. The same direction is applied to their Spring 2015 collection entitled ‘Nobody’s Hero’, which has been showcased in this alluring lookbook, shot by Cameron Strand.
The collection is comprised of essential staples from button up shirts to long sleeve tees, featuring minimal graphics and subtle prints for a clean aesthetic throughout. There is also a healthy selection of Denim, utilising a variety of washes including white static, light stone and artisan blue. Within the collection, the ‘Rights Refused’ program returns, this time collaborating with celebrated 90’s grunge photographer Charles Peterson, applying his iconic imagery to a range of long and short sleeved tees and tanks.
The lookbook was shot in Borrego Springs in the Californian desert, capturing the essence of the collection as well as its seasonal palette of eggshell, dark teal and dark slate, with its raw imagery. The KR3W Spring 2015 collection is available now Slam City and Parlour Skate Store
The Hundreds Spring 2015

The Hundreds Spring 2015 Lookbook

LA streetwear giants The Hundreds decide to take a slightly different direction for their Spring 2015 collection, avoiding the more thematic approach to deliver a mature release for the season.

The collection sees the brand reconnect with its roots, fusing Californian workwear styles with elements of streetwear, focusing in on construction and quality of the garments throughout.  Alongside considered graphics and a mixture of traditional and technical fabrications, The Hundreds have also added in 3 custom prints – the ‘Era Camo’ which is a revamp of the classic woodland camo, the marijuana inspired ‘Crazin’ print and finally the ‘Constellation’ print which pays homage to the mountains of Santa Fe.  The Spring release also sees the second season of the brands nano-technology that repels dirt, water and oil without adding weight or taking away from the colour or feel of the garment.

As a fan of The Hundreds, its great to see the brand continue to grow with their customer. Heavy branding and bold graphics have become a thing of the past, and they have recognised that. The focus the brand is putting on the finish and detailing is delivering great results, as well as maintaining elements that we’ve come to love about The Hundreds.

The Hundreds Spring 2015 collection will be available at UK stockists including Urban Industry and 5Pointz from the 23rd of February.

Billionaire Boys Club Spring 15

Billionaire Boys Club link up with regular collaborator Dexter Navy once again to present this video look book, highlighting key styles from the brands Spring 2015 range.

2014 was a succesful year for the London based creative who was responsible for A$AP Rocky’s ‘Chevy’ video and was also hailed by Complex as one of their ‘30 Under 30 Photographers to Watch’. His latest project sees him return to his hometown back to where it all started and the focus is kept firmly on the UK, from the choice of models to the styling. The aim was to create a ‘seamless presentation’ to showcase the offerings, and the rotating camera achieves this against an empty warehouse backdrop. Throughout the video we catch glimpses of the collection as the models move continually with the camera as it circumnavigates to the soundtrack of “I’m Ready” by British Hip-Hop group Caveman.

From what we can see from the short video, there is a strong selection of cut and sew pieces, most notably in the shirting options, outerwear and the panelled hoodies and sweaters. The colour palette mixes vibrant and more muted tones, with a range of patterns, patchwork and bold graphic prints applied throughout.

Butter Goods Fall/Winter 2015

The guys at Butter Good’s return to offer up more lo-fi, skate ready goodness for Fall/Winter 2015, and thanks to reverse seasons, we get to enjoy it this Spring/Summer 2015.

Despite the alternate seasons, there are many pieces in the collection that would work just as well in the ‘British summer’. The Australian skater owned company is passionate about supplying apparel for skaters, and this collection follows much of the same themes from the brands previous releases. Heavily graphic based, the release features bold back prints mixed with subtle pocket designs applied to a range of tees, long sleeves, sweaters and polo tops, as well as a solid selection of headwear.

The visuals give a great representation of the brand and capture their honest designs in an authentic way. Shot by James Whineray and Garth Mariano in their hometown of Perth, the look book features riders Chris Luu, Issa Hassan and Dylan Esposito.

The Butter Goods collection is available now at www.buttergoods.com and Bristol’s www.5050store.com

Life’s A Beach Spring/Summer 2015 Lookbook

Revitalised Surfwear brand Life’s A Beach present their latest collection along with accompanying lookbook for Spring/Summer 2015.

Founded back in the early 80’s, Life’s A Beach was renowned for their wild prints and vibrant colour palettes, becoming a favourite for skaters and surfers who were looking or something a little more extravagant than what was currently on offer. Following a prolonged absence, the brand has come back with a bang, utilising original designs pulled straight from their archives but giving a premium update and more considered designs for the modern customer.

This season, Life’s A Beach continue to produce laid back beach ready styles from long sleeves to their signature board shorts, adorning the brands easily recognisable retro graphics and loud patterns. The equally vibrant lookbook captures the theme of the collection perfectly, putting a light hearted spin on the visuals.

The Life’s A Beach Spring/Summer 2015 collection will be available from the brands web store soon and selected stockists including size?. For more on the brand or to shop the current collection head over to lifesabeachbrand.com

PUMA Primary OG Pack

As part of the brands CREAM programme, PUMA look once again to their classic Blaze of Glory silhouette, this time to give it a nostalgic rework in the Primary OG pack.

The Blaze of Glory is a true 90’s favourite in the running department having shot to fame for its functional features, including PUMA’s cushioning Trinomic technology. Its sleek, form fitting shape quickly caught the attention of the street and became a favourite for sneaker lovers, even more so in this retro runner resurgence of late.

Having gained a lot of interest in 2014, most notably from the Marble and Tech pack last year, the Blaze of Glory is offered up in another impressive rendition, utilising a predominantly white upper and applying hits of blocked colouring on the shoes lining and toe area. The upper is decked out in a mix of nylon and perforated leather, with nubuck overlays and an enhanced tonal TPU on the exo-skeletal lace system. Arriving in deep violet and black colour options, each pair is complimented with 3M detailing and both sit on top of an off-white Trinomic midsole.

The PUMA Primary OG pack is available now at Well GoshUrban Industry and END.
