Nike SB Free

Nike SB offer up a trio of clean colour options applied to the innovative Nike SB Free silhouette that debuted at the end of 2014.

The Nike SB Free utilises the flexibility and freedom of Nike’s Free sole unit, helping to unlock maximum mobility and allowing for natural movement of the foot. The shoe has been built from the ground up, giving skaters such as Nike pro Sean Malto the potential and freedom needed to increase performance and imagination on the board. The SB Free gives a better grip, balance and feel, as well as providing the protection and durability needed for the rigours of skating.

Sean Malto had this to say on the release;

I can’t cheat in this shoe. The feel coming to me from my feet, on the board and in space during a trick are super enhanced in the SB Free.

The shoe is constructed from a robust suede upper that sits on top of a reinforced white rubber SB Free outsole with gum accents on the bottom unit. Stability is considered through it’s supportive glove-like fit, designed to wrap around the foot, while the zoned ventilation has been added for breathability and comfort.

Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Moire Collection – Spring 2015

Nike bring in the New Year with their latest re-work of Tinker Hatfield’s iconic Air Max 1 silhouette as they present the Ultra Moire collection.

Back in 2006, Nike released one of it’s most underrated running silhouettes to date in the Zoom Moire, which was also one of the first Nike shapes to be made with consideration for the Nike+ technology that we all take for granted these days. Nike have taken cues from the 2006 release as they apply a seamless perforated upper to their latest rendition of the Air Max 1.

The Ultra Moire is simplistic in its aesthetic but holds a premium feel with synthetic suede gracing the laser perforated, one piece upper. The latest iteration of the Air Max 1 debuts the new ‘Natural Motion’ outsole unit that reduces the amount of material used, dramatically improving flexibility and reduces weight.  The Black/White colour way shown above features a black and white mix on the upper with a contrasting white outsole, accentuated with 3M detailing on the mudguard, eyelets and the swoosh.

The Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Moire will be available from nike.com/sportswear and selected Nike Sportswear retailers.

Neighborhood Spring 2015 ’2nd Series’

Tokyo’s Neighborhood continue their popular ‘2nd series’ collection into the new year as they introduce key outerwear and shirting styles for Spring 2015.

Neighborhood have become globally renowned since it began back in 1994, it’s a name that is synonymous with quality and style. With premium materials and considered fit, the iconic streetwear label seamlessly combines a variety of themes and inspirations to produce street ready styles. As we move into the final few months of the cold, Neighborhood take a focus on heavy duty outerwear pieces, designed to provide protection from the elements. Billionaire Boys Club X Kirk Knight – MA-1 Leather Jacket

Billionaire Boys Club link up with Pro Era’s Kirk Knight to showcase the brands MA-1 Leather Jacket.

Photographer Slick Jackson follows the Brooklyn based hip-hop artist through New York’s Chinatown wearing the EU exclusive jacket, constructed from premium leather that is sourced, dyed and fabricated entirely in Europe. Additional details include the aviation inspired Flyin-B logo on the chest and a large embossed Arch logo as a back design. The jacket takes further cues from the original MA-1 designs with utility pockets on the arm and a central zip closure, arriving in an all black colour treatment for a clean finish.

HUF Quality footwear have announced that Australian Sammy Winter is the latest pro rider to join the ranks following his travels with HUF through Asia on their recent Stoops Tour.

With their pro team already busting with talent, Sammy adds his smooth style to the pack which includes the likes of Dylan Rieder, Austyn Gilette, Brad Cromer and Peter Ramondetta, amongst others. PUMA Trinomic ‘Crackle’ Pack

We thought PUMA had already seen out 2014 in style with the recent release of the awesome ‘Marble Pack’ , but we were wrong. They’ve got one more major release up their sleeve and capping off a great year for the brand, PUMA introduce the ‘Crackle’ pack consisting of several new iterations of three core Trinomic shapes.

The collection takes tennis themes and applies them to running silhouettes, as the Blaze of Glory, XT2+ and R698 get colour and material reworks inspired by the cracking surfaces and lines of clay tennis courts. The shoes are constructed from rich leather with nubuck toe boxes on the upper, accentuated with cracked effect TPU overlays. Despite all falling under the same theme, each shoe brings something different to the release, a selection of colour treatments are applied, with 9 styles in all, each making use of subtle detailing for a clean finish.

An additional silhouette is due to drop in January 2015 from the pack which, if it continues in the same vein, I’m sure will be another great release from PUMA. The ‘Crackle’ pack will be available from Hanon, END. and size? from the 27th of December.

Introducing: ALIGN

UK based ALIGN present their inaugural collection this Winter, reworking sportswear classics into street ready staples.

Athletic styles from both in and around the field of play have always been a huge part of the streetwear aesthetic. ALIGN have approached this collection with consideration to heritage field sports staples such as varsity jackets and rugby shirts, translating these into contemporary pieces that can be worn in everyday life. With the Winter in mind, ALIGN have applied premium materials such as sports mesh, heavyweight loopback jersey, leather and taslan Nylon, for warmth and durability, with hints of 3M reflective material to help you stay visible.

The collection makes use of black across all garments, with splashes of white in the stitching and pocket detailing, as well as the occasional colour block. There is little use of graphics throughout the release, with most of the attention focused around fit and form. All in all its a great initial collection and I’m looking forward to seeing how the brand progresses.
