Gourmet Holiday 2014 Collection

Footwear aficionados Gourmet offer up their new seasonal collection for Holiday 2014, featuring a bevy of updated silhouettes.

Those that are familiar with the brand will know that, along with a focus on fit and comfort, Gourmet’s approach is dedicated to harnessing the best performance fabrics to ensure a functional, robust finish to the shoe. They continue this ethos throughout their Holiday collection, applying premium fabrications to some of their classic silhouettes and recently introduced shapes.

The 35 Lite x ANON Lx is the stand out shape from the collection, presented in a black Stingray leather and mesh mix on the upper, finished with 3M trims. The 35 Lite is the subject of other premium reworks within the collection, with a floral printed leather treatment which once again features 3M detailing and an alpaca nubuck and mesh combination with ripstop panelling to tackle more extreme conditions.

Following its recent release, the hiking inspired Corridore returns in two seasonal colour ways of black/camel and black/cyan, applied to the shoes ballistic nylon and action leather upper, that sits on a moulded eva foam sole unit. Gourmet team up with Black Scale for the latest iterations of the Quadici, with hits of white, blue and black on one style, as well as a blacked out version of the full grain leather upper on the other. Additional features include a speckled midsole and waterproof lining.

The Gourmet Holiday 2014 collection is available now at Foot Patrol.

Low_res_01

Krusoe has been a welcome addition to the Brighton scene since it opened its doors back in the Autumn of 2013. Situated in Brighton’s historic south lanes, the store combines its minimal aesthetic with a solid selection of clothing sourced globally, but with a specific UK focus.

Offering up a great mixture of ‘premium’ streetwear and casual menswear items, the store puts a focus on brands that take a high quality approach, producing timeless pieces rather than adhering to the current trends.

We linked up with our friends at Krusoe to produce this minamilistic lookbook, showcasing product from their Winter collections in store, with the likes of Raised By Wolves, Passport, Black Scale and Grind London all featuring.

You can shop the full ranges from all the brands over at krusoe-store.co.uk

The National Skateboard Co. x Post Details

The National Skateboard Co. and Sweden’s Post Details have announced an exciting collaborative effort for Holiday 2014.

There is some history behind this one. With Post’s founder Danjiel Stankovic riding for TNSC and Neil Smith recently announced as Post Details latest family member, they definitely aren’t strangers to one another. With both brands holding similair values and both deeply rooted in skateboarding, its great to see the two come together on a collection

The limited release continues the brands minimal approach, scaling back on the graphics throughout. A stamp inspired design is applied as back prints to tees, with similar graphics used on the accompanying decks. The heavyweight cotton coach jackets and small run of corduroy caps and knitted beanies feature embroidered dual branded logos, while the standout long sleeved polo features subtle labelling.

Colours are kept simple for this collection, using white and grey as a base, with rich navy and deep burgundy treatments giving it that seasonal feel. Each piece features high levels of detailing and the construction is second to none, utilising thick fabrics for the colder months.

The National Skateboard Co. X Post Details collaborative collection is available now at the following stores;

Quiet Life Holiday 2014 “Atwater” Collection

LA based streetwear imprint The Quiet Life offer up some stripped back visuals to showcase their latest quick-strike release ready for the Holiday season.

Aligning themes from previous seasonal releases, the Holiday offering continues to apply the brands signature style to a range of street ready basics, as well as some stand out cut and sew pieces. Engaging graphics, all over prints and tie dye treatments can be found on t-shirts, hoodies, headwear and socks. The brands cut and sew department sees two new button down shirts and a hockey jersey added to the collection, with stand out Winter favourites in the Canvas and Garage jacket added to fight off the cold.

One aspect of the Quiet Life’s collections we really enjoy are the mini capsule collections that sit alongside the main line. This release includes a series of photo prints from Camera Club contributor Amanda Marsalis and the ‘Cryptic’ pack by Cody Hudson. These collaborative capsules allow Quiet Life to avoid the mundane and are allowing them to continue to develop their designs and switch it up from time to time. It also gives them a chance to engage with their audience and gets lovers of the brand involved with the collections, as two graphics from the recent ‘Drawing Contest’ are applied to tees.

Enjoy the ‘Atwater’ lookbook shot by Dan Monick and head over to thequietlife.com for more information or to purchase. You can also pick up your favourite pieces at Urban Industry and The Chimp Store.

Penfield x Saucony Originals “60/40″ Pack

Rounding off a great year for both brands, Boston based heavyweights Penfield and Saucony join forces to present the seasonal “60/40″ pack.

With each brand sharing a similar backstory, it was only a matter of time before this collaboration came about. The release utilizes Penfield’s expertise in robust outerwear design and Saucony’s heritage in authentic running footwear, combining both brands aesthetic to produce a shoe that is ready to tackle the rigours of both the street and trail.

The classic Shadow Original, with its simplistic design and performance features, provided the base for the collaboration and despite not overworking the silhouette, there have definitely been some considerable technical upgrades for the season.

The name “60/40″ comes from Penfield’s iconic Teflon coated 60/40 Cotton-Nylon material that has been used by the brand since it started back in 1975. The water-repellent fabric is applied to the shoes upper, while suede overlays give a durable finish. The latest iteration of the Shadow Original features a padded collar and tongue for a comfortable fit and protection for the foot, while the polyurethane midsole gives support and durability, working with Saucony’s heel cushioning system for added comfort upon impact.

Hiking references can be found throughout the design, with a hiking boot lace loop, rope style laces and mesh netting on the heel. Each shoe features dual branding on the insole and Penfields classic logo stitched to the tongue. The pack was designed to align with the aesthetic of Penfield’s current offerings, applying earthy tones such as tan, olive and a deep obsidian to the uppers, sitting on top of a pure white midsole and black outsole.

The Penfield X Saucony  “60/40″ Pack is now available in stores across the country and will be available to purchase online at the following stores from Tuesday the 2nd of December;

Rebel8 continue to apply their rebellious styles to a range of street ready pieces as they present their Winter collection for 2014.

The Californian brand takes a focus on layering for the colder seasons, with an array of bold graphic tees, sweaters and hoodies featuring the animated styles from the brands founders – Joshy D and Mike Giant. The street ready staples are complimented by a solid selection of cut and sew pieces from button-up shackets with patch detailing to a matching patterned shirt and trouser combo. It’s clear that Rebel8 have put a lot of energy into their outerwear selection for the season, made up of perfectly executed puffer jackets and lined parka styles, that take a minimal approach to branding and instead let their construction do the talking.
