HUF x Sammy Winter

 Paying homage to his native Australia, Sammy Winter and HUF have combined on a small release this season which takes a focus on clean, classic designs across staple pieces built for skating. The pro-rider's capsule collection consists of long and short sleeve tees, caps and a pull over hoody, all of which stick to a monochrome colour palette and features custom Sammy Winter branding applied throughout as prints or embroidery. Rounding off the release, Sammy has gone to work on a pair of HUF Classic Hi's, which maintain their popular shape and Perfshock insole, but have been updated with a supple yet durable white leather upper and detailed with Winter's logo branding on the tongue, heel and insole.

HUF x Slam City Skates

Slam are really going all out for their 30th anniversary celebrations. With collabs with Dickies and Spitfire already under their belt this year, the London skate institution now team up with HUF on a collaborative shoe and apparel capsule collection, consisting of a dual branded, limited edition tees, socks and 6-panel cap. HUF's low profile Soto design has been reworked with a sleek tonal black upper, constructed from a premium suede and accented with hits of leather on the branding, heel and tongue. The shoe sits on top of a contrasting gum sole unit and is finished with hits of gold on the embossed tongue and heel branding.  

 To celebrate the arrival of the collection, the pair have teamed up on a short promo edit by Mark Jackson featuring HUF and Slam team riders Jacob Harris and Rory Milanes. If you're in London tonight (8th of September), head down to Slam City's Covent Garden store from 7pm for hangs, free beer and screening of the edit, as well as a chance to preview the collection in person.

To coincide with the opening of the brands new store in the Big Apple, HUF have dropped a new clip simply dubbed “HUF NYC”. The 6-minute clip shot by Brandon Kuzma and Tyler Cichy, features riders Brad Cromer, Jake Anderson, Austyn Gillette, Matt Gottwig, Dick Rizzo and special guest Brendan Carroll, as well as some amazing aerial shots of the city.

HUF x Cleon Peterson – In Killing We Live

HUF have come together with LA based artist Cleon Peterson on a concise collaborative collection showcasing the artists' signature style.

Renowned for his violent and chaotic style, Peterson utilises monochromatic paintings of clashing figures to symbolise the struggle of power and hierarchy in modern society. Dubbed "In Killing We Live", the collection consists of tees, a sweater, two caps, socks, a duffle bag, flick knife and a skate deck, all featuring custom artwork from Peterson. Sticking to a simplistic black and white colour palette, the release is rounded off with a reversible Bomber Jacket, again featuring the signature style as a subtle print on the lining or alternatively worn as a bold all over print.

HUF X Chocolate

HUF x Chocolate

HUF and Chocolate have come together to 'celebrate life and the spirit of discovery with friends' in homage to the late Keenan Milton with the "Forever" campaign. 

 HUF's owner Keith Hufnagel formed a close friendship with Keenan when skating in New York during the 90's, a friendship that would grow through various skate trips across the globe and street missions in NY. His untimely death in 2001 affected a lot of people including Keith and had a huge impact on the lives of so many of Keenan's close friends. Both Girl and Chocolate to this day continue to pay tribute to Milton with a "Keenan Forever" sequence in all their videos, he was considered one of the best skaters on the team and such an integral, energetic character for the brand in it's early years.

The two skate powerhouses have put together a small capsule collection for the campaign which includes a dual branded pullover jacket and checkered Classic Hi's, as well as a t-shirt and cap featuring a bold hybrid box logo. To commemorate the release, HUF and Chocolate have also come together on a short clip which is narrated by Keith Hufnagel and features archival footage of Milton.

HUF Summer 2016 Collection

HUF have released their latest set of visuals, highlighting key styles from the brands Summer 2016 collection. 

 Looking ahead to this Summers Olympic Games held in Rio, Brazil, the collection draws inspiration from athletic and sportswear themes, applying bold patterns and seasonal colours, reminiscent of those found on the football shirts of the home nation, throughout the release. Alongside the more athletic pieces we see the classic tongue-in-cheek graphics HUF have become renowned for applied to tees and long-sleeves, a considered headwear selection featuring classic logo designs, and also more in the way of cut & sew with several short-sleeve shirt styles and an expanded pant line.

 In all its much the same from the San Fran giants, who have achieved their renowned aesthetic through consistency season after season. We do however see new drop needle technics applied to some pieces offering both breathability and a premium construction, while vintage athletic-inspired labelling adds a nice finish to the collection.
