URL {un real life}

 Sirus has come through with his latest project dubbed “URL {un real life}” – a 2-piece Brighton skate video featuring familiar faces from the local scene and exploring a personal battle with life online…

“Having a laptop & an internet connection is at once a modern blessing & a perpetual dread. Probably a lot of people bothering to read this will somewhat understand the inordinate feeling of the saturating, (as i’m typing this i take a quick break to check a Facebook notification and edit a post) overflow of glowing blue-white information, that the internet and social media consistently hurl at our tired, red eyes. Creating videos for me is intended to be some form of physical, creative catharsis, and a well earned interruption from the digital realm. But inevitably each production i put together results in far more hours sat in front of the achromatic glow from my retina display, than it does sat in gutters & alleyways (Alfie Whatsapps me, and i check it but don’t reply. he proceeds to send 3 more messages, addressing my lack of acknowledgment. I reply) triple checking my focus, or blowing dust off my fisheye. ultimately it’s inescapable ??

This clip has two halves to it, the highly edited, ostentatious 1st half and the looser, raw 2nd part, you can probably guess at what they’re suppose to represent. It was put together to play as a loop, as an allusion to ur fave social media outlet’s endless scroll of colours and sounds. It’s just another internet skate vid”

Supreme x Barrington Levy & Jah Life

 Another week has gone by and another Thursday Supreme drop is on it's way, this time linking up with iconic reggae artists Barrington Levy and Hyman "Jah Life" Wright on a capsule release.

 The project focuses around the emerging dancehall reggae sound of the late 1970's/early 1980's, and the coming together of the New York and Jamaican scene thanks to pioneering producer Hyman “Jah Life” Wright and a renowned young vocalist named Barrington Levy. This period in time and that particular partnership would go on to propel reggae and dancehall on to the global stage, transcending way beyond its previously exclusive Jamaican audience, breaking down barriers along the way.

 The collection itself references iconic imagery from the era, drawing inspiration from notable albums such as "Bounty Hunter", "Englishman" and "Robin Hood”, and applying original artwork from the partnership's works across tees, tank tops and pull-over hoodies, which are available in various seasonal colour options.

The Supreme x Barrington Levy & Jah Life will be dropping at Supreme's London, New York, Los Angeles & Paris locations, as well as online, on June 16th.

Satta x Universal Works

 This season, two UK born brands come together on a concise capsule collection focused around honest clothing and inspired by 'Peace, Love and Soul'.

 Satta and Universal Works have both managed to carve out a niche in their respective areas, with Satta's livity-inspired, laid back lifestyle pieces and Universal Works accessible menswear designs and timeless aesthetic. Despite operating in different fields, both share similarities in their output, particularly in their focus towards quality. Built out of mutual respect of each others craft, the 'PEACE.LOVE.SOUL' collection offers highly wearable staple styles with a premium edge.

 The release consists of a military inspired 'uniform' shirt jacket in sand, featuring subtle branded embroidery and a pin badge commemorating the release. Two t-shirt designs bulk out the release, both arriving in the same earthy tone and featuring dual branded graphics throughout, while one tee features the words 'Peace Love Soul' embroidered in to the chest. The collection is rounded off with an embroidered cap, again featuring both brands on the globe design and aligning with the collections earthy colour palette.

The Satta x Universal Works collection is available now at universalworks.co.uk and select retailers including Goodhood
