Supreme x Larry Clark “KIDS 20th Anniversary” Capsule Collection

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of one of the most controversial yet defining cult classics of our time, New York giants Supreme team up with acclaimed director Larry Clark for the “KIDS 20th Anniversary capsule collection

Released back in 1995, KIDS  has continued to remain relevant up to present day with the issues it addresses, and is considered a raw representation of the youth culture in New York during the early 90’s. The film was born from Larry Clarks involvement in documenting the NY skate scene of the time and through this connection he met the films writer, Harmony Korine and the movies star, Leo Fitzpatrick. The famous Supreme box logo features prominently throughout the film on the back of some of the cast members which include the likes of Chloë Sevigny, Jeff Pang, Rosario Dawson and Javier Nunez, as well as Supreme team riders at the time – Justin Pierce and Harold Hunter.

With both parties connection and long standing friendship, it’s a fitting tribute to the film 20 years on. The capsule collection consists of long and short sleeved graphic tees, hoodies and a deck series, featuring some of the most iconic stills, as well as the final quote from the film – ““Jesus Christ. What happened?” as a back print on.

The Supreme x Larry Clark “KIDS 20th Anniversary” Capsule Collection goes on sale tomorrow (Thursday the 21st of May) at the brands London location and on online.

Palace x Adidas

Palace Skateboards x adidas Pro Shoe Collection

Palace Skateboards and adidas take their fruitful relationship a step further as they follow up their 90’s inspired apparel collaboration by moving into the footwear market, delivering four solid skate-able pro shoes for the summer months.

Following a series of teaser images and a hypnotising appearance from D Double E on social media over the last week or so, building the hype for the collaboration, we can now take a closer look at the styles that are set to drop tomorrow the 16th of May. The collection is made up of the collaboratively designed Pro Primeknit and the Pro Trainer, with two colour options in each silhouette.

The Palace Pro Primeknit debuts with adidas’ Primeknit technology applied to the upper, available in a white/grey option with tonal lacing and a stark white sole unit, as well as the retro inspired black/white colour option, reminiscent of the gum soled adidas skate copa and also features tonal lacing and the popular gum rubber sole. The Pro Suede Shoe draws from adidas’ popular Gazelle silhouette, perhaps slightly more skate friendly, it arrives in a grey/white and a black/white colour option, constructed from a perforated suede on the shoes upper, with the grey/white sitting on top of an icy translucent sole and the black, a white contrasting sole unit that matches the white lacing and stripe branding. Both the Pro Primeknit and the Pro Suede feature the ZX flux heel cage that offers additional stability to the wearer and heel pull, keeping the branding minimal throughout with the classic three stripe featuring on the side panels.

The Palace Skateboards x adidas Pro Shoe collection will be available from Palace’s web store HERE and selected retailers including Flatspot and Welcome from Midnight tonight (00:01 BST 16th of May).

MAGENTA GLEN FOX

Magenta Welcomes Glen Fox

French outfit Magenta have added Jersey born rider Glen Fox to their roster and welcome him with this introductory clip.

Glen has been part of Magenta’s set up for a few years now after brand owner Vivian Fiel first became aware of his skating following a visit to the brand back in 2011. Having lived in Bordeaux for a year now, immersing himself in the French culture with his art and continuing to develop his unique style, it seems as though Glen Fox is a bit of a no-brainer as an addition to the Magenta team. His technique brings high-speed control, improvisation and a truly original style, all of which can be found in his awesome welcome clip below.

COMMON DUST COLLECTION 2 - LOOKBOOK-2

Common Dust 2015 – Collection 2

Australia’s Common Dust pick up from where they left off as they follow up collection 1.1 with another considered release that aligns with the brands lofi aesthetic.

The Melbourne based label burst onto the scene last Summer with their inaugural collection for the Australian Winter (reverse seasons), gaining instant recognition for their authenticity and originality. Since then, Common Dust have continued to develop their range all the while carrying through their DIY punk informed designs and rebellious spirit throughout each release. Collection 2 sees much of the same, referencing skateboarding, music and art themes from the 80’s and 90’s, placing a variety of strong graphic prints onto street ready apparel including tees, long-sleeves, hoodies and a small collection of headwear and tote bags.

The Common Dust 2015 Collection 2 is available now via the brands website: www.common-dust.com. Hopefully we will see the brand make their way over to the UK soon, but for now be sure to take advantage of their free worldwide shipping!
