Asics Tiger x Packer 'Dirty Buck'

Asics Tiger x Packer Gel Lyte III “Dirty Buck”

As part of the Gel Lyte III’s 25th anniversary celebrations, Asics Tiger link up with Packer to offer their creative take on the iconic runner in the “Dirty Buck” pack.

The New Jersey boutiques iteration of the Gel Lyte III follows Mita Sneakers of Tokyo’s ‘Far East’ effort that dropped earlier this year, Packer’s take is slightly more toned down version of the silhouette. Taking inspiration from the classic dress shoe which holds the same name ‘Dirty Buck’, the rework arrives in a premium taupe coloured suede construction on the upper, with white leather hits on the tongue and a kind of toast-like colouring on the lining and heel cup. Additional features include the embossed Packer logo on the heel and tonal laces, all of which sits on top of a dusty brick midsole that is reminiscent of the original ‘Dirty Buck’ shoe.

Nike SB x De La Soul – Dunk Pack

Hip-Hop and Skateboarding collide once again this Spring as Nike SB give a slightly reworked re-issue of the De La Soul Hi and Lo silhouettes to celebrate the shoes 10th year anniversary.

Once again looking to the Hip-Hop pioneers ‘3 Feet High & Risings’ debut album as inspiration, the highly anticipated release features custom artwork applied to the shoes panelled overlays. The Hi is offered up in a premium white leather, with perforations on the toe box, while the Lo arrives with a brown suede base, with green pops on the swoosh and midsole, with elephant print also applied to the shoes overlays.

When the Dunk was introduced to the world in 1985, it was quickly adopted by skateboarders and sneaker heads alike, thanks to its robust construction, thick flat sole and ankle protection. The Nike SB Dunk followed in 2002 to pay homage the shoes influence in skate culture during the 90’s. Appropriately both Nike and De LA Soul celebrated their influence within skateboarding with a hip-hop inspired collab first released back in 2005, which featured similar reworks to that of the latest release and is considered now as one of the most celebrate colour ways of the SB Dunk.

This years re-issue is sure to give much of the same and with the highly-anticipated release available in limited numbers, I’m sure these wont be around for long. To commemorate the release, Nike SB have put together this short video which sees pro-rider and DC native Bobby Worrest skate in the Hi’s.

The Nike SB x De La Soul will be available in the UK from the 6th of March at nike.com

PUMA Primary OG Pack

As part of the brands CREAM programme, PUMA look once again to their classic Blaze of Glory silhouette, this time to give it a nostalgic rework in the Primary OG pack.

The Blaze of Glory is a true 90’s favourite in the running department having shot to fame for its functional features, including PUMA’s cushioning Trinomic technology. Nike Roshe Flyknit – Multicolour

The super zen Nike Roshe Run silhouette gets another material upgrade for Spring 2015; making the lighter than light shoe that little bit more lightweight with Roshe Flyknit technology.

The Roshe run is one of the most coveted styles of recent times. Although it doesn’t holding as many performance features as most other styles in Nike’s long list of designs, the affordable Roshe Run still manages to give the high levels of comfort you’ve come to expect from the brand while still holding its iconic form-fitting style. Needless to say it would take a lot to make this already timeless shoe even better, but the addition of Flyknit definitely offers up a refreshing take on the style.

Merging their signature Flyknit technology to the shoes upper, the pared-down silhouette is offered up in a range of colour way’s including the multi-colour option above. The flyknit uppers have been specifically designed to adapt and conform to the foot, providing optimal support and comfort. The shoes stripped back construction continues onto the stark white, one piece midsole and outsole, made from a lightweight phylon foam which also offers high levels of cushioning.

Less is certainly more for the Roshe Flyknit, and Nike have once again showcased their ability to apply their innovation to the highest capacity, even in their minimal designs. The Nike Roshe Flyknit will be available in all colours, except woman’s multicolour, at Nike Sportswear retailers and nike.com/sportswear from the the 5th of February.
