Butter Goods Summer 2015

Butter Goods Summer 2015 Lookbook

Perth’s Butter Goods return with their latest lookbook showcasing new skate ready goods ready for the Australian Summer.

Although we won’t be blessed with the sunny weather which is on it’s way down under, we can still appreciate some good design work, and Butter Good’s latest collection is full of that. They continue to stick closely to the themes we saw in previous collections, from the visuals to the heavily graphic lead t-shirt and long sleeve designs. The colour palette is varied throughout, with some familiar pieces reworked for the new season as well as some new playful print designs that put a different spin on some iconic logos and characters. Rounding off the release we have a small selection of caps and shorts, as well as the stand out retro soccer jersey, which look like they’ve been inspired by the old USA kits.

The lookbook shot by Garth Mariano and Jay Dymock once again takes us on a tour through the brands home town of Perth, hitting up various street spots with the Butter Goods team donning the new garms. You can expect to see Butter Goods Summer 2015 collection arriving on UK shores at retailers including Urban Industry and Scene Preston from next week.

Noah NY Fall/Winter 2015 Lookbook

It’s been a release that we have been eagerly anticipating since we first heard word of Brendon Babenzien leaving Supreme and announcing his intentions of reviving his Noah line. For Fall/Winter 2015 we can now take a first look at the brands new creative direction as they unveil their lookbook shot by Jake Davies.

For the man so deeply involved in Supreme’s meteoric rise to the top of the streetwear game, it’s unsurprising that the Noah collection would share some similarities. Referencing punk rock culture and post skate fashion, and drawing influence from athletic, military and outdoor designs, it is, like certain tiers within Supreme releases, a mature approach to ‘streetwear’ design. Overall it’s an extremely considered release, starting with the basic graphic tee’s and hoodies and working it’s way through to the more specialist cut and sew, with double breasted shirt options and patchwork knits, as well as casual bottoms and some well executed heavyweight outerwear. The collection is rounded off by a concise collection of headwear and accessories, most notably the 6-panel curved brim cap which is sure to be an instant sell out. All in all it’s a successful return from a brand with a strong sense of direction and one that leaves us with a lot of excitement and curiosity to see how it continues to develop.

You can shop the collection and find out a bit more on Noah over on their web store now – www.noahny.com

Palace Skateboards x Adidas Winter 2015

Continuing their fruitful partnership in to the winter, Palace and adidas build off their 90’s inspired collaborative collections for one of their strongest releases to date this season.

The Winter 2015 collection once again looks to classic silhouettes from the german sportswear brand, reworked with a bit of creative influence from London’s premier skate brand. As we move into the colder weather, the latest collaborative release takes a heavy focus on outerwear, with the reversible heavyweight down jacket and the marble print bomber jacket the two stand out pieces. Aligning with the nostalgic sportswear theme, the collection also features football inspired jerseys, dual-branded tracksuits tops and joggers, and bulked out with casual hoodies, quarter zip pullovers, polo tees and long sleeves. A varied selection of accessories including winterised headwear, bags and gloves round off the release, which is designed to keep you cozy and warm throughout the harsher months.

It’s a nostalgic release for those, like myself, who donned the classic adidas trackies back in the 90’s. Utilising colour blocking and wavy print techniques in places with a monochromatic colour palette throughout, it’s the perfect mixture of bold and understated, and theres no questioning why this, like all the other releases, will causes so much hype.

Enjoy the lookbook above, once again featuring team rider Blondey Mccoy donning the clothing. The Palace Skateboards x adidas Winter 2015 collection will be available at www.palaceskateboards.com and at selected stores from the 24th of October.

COMMON DUST - BOWERY LOOKBOOK-page-006

BOW3RY x Common Dust ‘BXCD’ Collection

For two brands with complimenting ideals and aesthetics, as well as being close geographically, it was only a matter of time until they came together to work on something. This season, Australia’s BOW3RY and Common Dust team up on a graphic led collaboration celebrating ‘the weird, the buried and the doomed’.

The BXCD collection consists of ten t-shirt and long sleeve designs, bearing bold collaborative artwork from the two Melbourne based brands, and utilising a varied colour palette. Both brands share interests in skateboarding, hard core DIY zines and classic Giallo slasher movie’s, and this joint effort has further elevated each parties output to produce a really strong collection centred around counter culture and anarchism.

Brain Dead AW15 ‘Drop 3’ Lookbook

Brain Dead have released the latest set of visuals to showcase offerings from their ‘Drop 3’ release this season.

Described as a ‘creative collective of artists and designers from around the world’, Brain Dead are one of very few brands on the market who are really carving out a unique identity, at the very forefront of the graphic t-shirt movement of late, in which we are seeing more and more smaller brands emerge. Citing inspirations from the worlds of post punk, skateboarding, comics and the rebellious spirit of subcultures as a whole, Brain Dead keep it simple with the silhouettes but their strengths lie in the bold designs they produce. Drop 3 consists of tees, caps and tote bag’s all bearing the brands vibrant and distinctive designs, drawing from the aesthetic of a typical American motel.

Head over to braindead.xxx for more information on the brand and to shop the latest release. You can also pick up pieces from the latest collection, as well as bits from the brands collaborative venture with DSM over at doverstreetmarket.com
