Stockholm brand Sandqvist are renowned for their clean back pack designs that combine durable materials and functionality, offering a highly distinguishable Scandinavian aesthetic. In a reflective look on the brands origins, Sandqvist have put together this short film that explores the Swedish landscape and how it influences and informs the brand and its design.
The video, entitled ‘From Nordic Landscapes’, captures the essence of the Scandanavian countryside as it follows brand founders Anton Sandqvist, Daniel Sandqvist and Sebastian Westin, telling their story against the stunning backdrop. From humble beginnings of a hand sewn back pack by Anton Sandqvist, the brand has continued to grow, now being stocked in hundreds of locations across the globe, they have really capitalised on the importance they place on keeping things simple.
Anton Sandqvist, the founder of the brand described the film;
“In the film we share with you what we do in our free time, we ride motorcycles, go hiking, fishing, anything that keeps us close to the great outdoors. We use this lifestyle to inform every single aspect of the Sandqvist collection from functionality right down to colour of the fabric.”
