CLSC_07

LA based CLSC have been causing a stir on the streetwear scene lately, emerging as a firm favourite during trade show season. We now get to see what all the hype is about as they deliver a fresh batch of goods ready for Autumn/Winter 2014.

Recent seasons have seen a burgeoning focus around sportswear inspired pieces, and something that CLSC do seamlessly well is merge athletic design with street ready styles. Bold designs, playful text in college inspired fonts and screen printed graphics all feature as CLSC add to their ever expanding collection.

Our latest lookbook from our on going collaborative series with Bristol’s 5Pointz highlights key pieces from the Fall 2014 collection including tees, hoodies and headwear options. Our top picks from the release include the CLSC ‘Sucks to Suck’ Pullover Hoodie and the 23 T-Shirt in Black.

Check out our lookbook below shot over in Shoreham-by-Sea featuring model Kirk Budden. You can shop the CLSC Autumn/Winter drop over at 5Pointz now.

KR3W Autumn 2014 Editorial

krew_02

Following our recent Q & A with the brands design director Jack Toledo, we take a closer look into KR3W‘s Autumn collection and highlight some of our favourite pieces in our latest lookbook.

Aptly entitled the ‘Dark Americana’ collection, the Americana inspired release arrives in a moody colour palette with lots of dark washes, blacks, greys, shadow plaid and camo. Alongside iconic graphic pieces such as the grim reaper and KR3W KILLS designs, is a range of more technical cut and sew items from expertly crafted jackets to shirting, as well as fashionable basics and a clean headwear selection.

Making its first appearance, the No.11 range sits within the mainline collection and features a range of classic cuts in both denim and non-denim bottoms, as well as shirts and outerwear pieces made from premium fabrics. Honouring their skateboarding roots, the new Rehab Denim technology is applied to classic KR3W styles to provide durability, comfort and a superior fit during movement.

Check out images from our shoot below and if you haven’t already be sure to read our interview with KR3W’s Jack ToledoHERE. The KR3W ‘Dark Americana’ collection for Autumn 2014 is available now at kr3wdenim.com and the following retailers;

Brixton_011

You can always rely on Brixton to deliver a solid collection, incorporating clean design, quality fit and interesting prints throughout. Their consistency is the reason why Brixton is one of our favourite street wear/lifestyle brands here at bythelevel.

Their collection for Summer 2014 offers a diverse range of seasonal staples using prints and graphic logo designs alongside cut and sew items. The latest release includes a range of button up short sleeve shirts, tees, long sleeves, shorts, vests and shorts, as well as a strong headwear selection.

We headed to a spot in Uckfield, just outside Brighton for a day of exploring, BBQ’s and shooting Brixton with some of our closest friends. The natural landscape provided the perfect backdrop to shoot the new collection.

Check out our Brixton Summer shoot below including images taken by Adam Borrer in between modelling. The full Brixton Summer 2014 range is available now at the The Chimp Store now

Beastin’ at 5Pointz Summer 2014 Lookbook

Beastin_012

You can always count on Bavarian brand Beastin’ to deliver when it comes to high quality streetwear collections, and this years summer delivery is no exception.

Drawing inspiration from American hip-hop and sports cultures, the concise collection takes the direction of quality over quantity. With a focus on materials and simple design, each cut and sew item brings something different to the collection whilst still remaining within its theme.

London’s Kentish Town provided the backdrop for the shoot as we met up with our friend Lewis who modelled the latest offering. With a mixture of laid back, casual styles such as the basket ball inspired vests and smarter pieces in the denim shirt and silk ‘Very Fashion’ shirt , the release covers everything from street ready styling to more sophisticated looks.

Check out our shoot below and be sure to head over to Bristol’s 5Pointz to shop the Beastin’ Summer collection HERE

The Hundreds Summer 2014 Editorial

Hundreds_summer_01

We always enjoy a nineties throwback here at By The Level, especially when someone does it as well as The Hundreds. They pay homage to 90’s america suburbia in their latest collection for Summer 2014, and it captures the era perfectly.

In a diverse collection full of bright colour ways, magic eye and lenticular art and of course some acid wash thrown in for good measure, they draw influence from the subcultures in the american youth of the time.

We take a closer look at the collection as we follow Abbie on a beautiful summers day around the city. Stand out pieces include the Parkside Baseball Jersey in black and the Post Button-up Poplin shirt.

Check out images from our The Hundreds summer 2014 lookbook below. For more information on the collection be sure to visit www.thehundreds.com and be sure to check back soon for UK links.
