SUPRA – Lucien Clarke X PWBC Signature Quattro Colourway

Paying homage to London’s ‘Palace Wayward Boys Choir’, SUPRA team up with team rider, PWBC member and one of the UK’s most exciting street skaters –  Lucien Clarke, on a signature Quattro colour way.

Inspired by the city’s vibrant nightlife and the crew’s party lifestyle, the Quattro arrives in a sleek black suede with hits of reflective 3M detailing that shine in low lit, night time conditions. Lucien explains “One of my favorite features is the reflective leather around the laces and the heel, it looks extra renegade, like a completely different shoe at night.” Additional detailing include silver pyramid eyelets, PWBC lace clips and custom PWBC artwork on the padded insoles, inspired by Lucien’s PWBC tattoo. The plush upper sits on top of a black SUPRAFOAM midsole ensuring cushioning and protection upon impact, while the complimenting translucent outsole ensures optimal traction on the board.

To mark the release, Lucien and his boys in the PWBC have put together a short clip trying out the Quattro’s at various street spots. Check the full video below. The SUPRA ‘Lucien Clarke X PWBC’ Signature Quattro Colourway is available now at all good skate stores including Slam City and Flatspot.

Jez Edit

Neighbourhood: Jez

Being based in Brighton, a lot of what we do on the site comes from a south coast perspective, influenced by the people around us and the laid back culture of the city we live in. Slightly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of London, but also close enough for it to impact our outlook, it’s important to us to distinguish ourselves by documenting the lives we live through our experiences.

Our latest project dubbed ‘Neighbourhood’, is a new video series that looks to give more of an insight in to the Brighton skate scene and celebrate the characters around it. The first video in the series focuses around Jez as he hits up The Level …

“Jez skates about once every month or so, which is very little for your average skateboarder. Every time he does come out on a board you will undoubtedly see him take about 3 slams to the head, learn 4 or 5 new tricks you’ve never seen before, collide with a number of small children and smile and laugh the whole way through. He’s 100% one of my favourite dude’s to watch skate, but I had never seen any footage of him before. That pushed me to ask him to spend half a day filming at the park. I thought it’d be cool to represent one of the lesser known Brighton skaters, who has a slightly different outlook on things and is also involved in a lot outside of skateboarding” – Sirus

Levi’s Skateboarding Fall/Winter 2015 Lookbook

Levi’s skateboarding unveil their latest collection for Fall/Winter 2015, which sees the brand draw inspiration from the working class citizens of their hometown of San Francisco.

Already a hugely popular brand amongst skaters worldwide, the heritage denim label made the seamless transition into skate after announcing their first skate focused collection in Autumn of 2013, and this season they continue to develop the line with another well rounded collection of robust, skate ready apparel.

One of skateboardings iconic photographs of all time would inform the collections aesthetic, in which photographer Bryce Knights captures Mark Gonzales shredding a vert wall in Alcatraz federal penitentiary, located seven miles into San Francisco Bay. From this, Levi’s centred the collection around the styles worn by those who were involved in building SF’s Golden Gate Bridge back in the 30’s, with the designers pulling key styles of the times from the Levi’s archive and giving them a modern update.

Within the collection we find the popular slim fit work pant’s alongside denim jeans that arrive in a variety of washes. Key cut and sew pieces in the chambray quilted shirts and lined denim chore coat are the stand out pieces from the release, which is bulked out by two pack striped tees and rounded off with hard-wearing sweaters and sweatpants that offer unrivalled comfort during movement. Arriving with the slogan ‘strong made stronger’, you know that you’re getting quality in construction with each piece built for a purpose by a brand who are famed for their long lasting, timeless designs.

To commemorate the release, Levi’s have put together this short clip of Marius Syvanen and Pat Moran skating through Oakland. The Levi’s Skateboarding Fall/Winter 2015 collection is available now over on the brands web-store.
