Nike – The Genealogy of Innovation

GOI_LONDON_1_30566

Sitting proudly at the forefront of footwear innovation, Nike present the Genealogy of Innovation, celebrating 40 years of design, 30 years of sneaker culture and 20 years of Nike football.

With the World Cup well under way I’m sure many of you have spotted the latest innovation in football boots adorned by some of the biggest names in the competition. The Magista and Mercurical Superfly featuring the new sock liner, are most certainly game changers, providing lightweight glove like fits, as Nike draw on their experience to deliver the latest footwear technologies.

The Nike forward thinking design process stretches across all of their most iconic training shoes from basketball to athletics. The Genealogy of Innovation provides an in depth study of over 200 ground breaking designs, from the first shoe to bear the famous Swoosh ( “The Nike” football boot from 1971) and concluding with todays latest releases, Nike celebrate their rich history and showcase their archives.

Following the success of the Genealogy of Innovation exhibition at Nike’s Phenomenal House space’s in Paris, London and Berlin earlier in the month, Nike now take the experience online, providing an interactive journey through seven distinct chapters of Nike’s history.
