HUF x Bronze56K Lookbook

HUF link up with in-demand New York skate crew Bronze56k on a limited capsule collection this season, made up of co-branded footwear and accessories.

Hot on the heels of Bronze’s hugely popular collab with London skate giants Palace, they now link up with San Fran juggernauts HUF on a small release that references themes from late 90’s and early 2000’s pop culture. Bronze56K have gained a large cult following from their lo-fi videos that have led the way for many other companies who have followed suit since, but Bronze have stood out with their unique aesthetic, paying homage to the dial up internet and cable TV era, that can be seen in edits such as Solo Jazz, Enron, and Trust.

The limited edition collection is made up of co-branded socks and a rework of HUF’s Classic Hi silhouette in a white suede with Bronze’s Microsoft inspired logo on the heel detailing. The lookbook above, shot by Brian Kelley, captures Bronze team riders Richie Rizzo and Josh Wilson shredding low lit city streets of New York City in the Classic Hi’s, wearing promo-only tees and hats bearing a playful rework of the Polo Sport logo with an added Bolt instead of the famous Polo stick.

The HUF x Bronze56K goes on sale tomorrow, the 30th of June, at select retailers including Flatspot. and at Manchester’s Note Shop.

HUF and Bronze56K also worked on a short edit to commemorate the release, which features team riders Dick Rizzo and Josh Wilson shred the streets of New York in the co-branded Classic Hi’s. Enjoy the full video below shot by Bronze co-founder and videographer Peter Sidlauskas.

HUF “Canvas Pack”

San Francisco based HUF follow up their main line Spring/Summer releases with a concise capsule collection made up of seasonal footwear and headwear staples entitled “Canvas Pack”.

Drawing inspiration from 1950’s American culture, the collection consists of headwear, footwear and light jacketing options constructed from 100% Cotton Duck Canvas. The release strips back on graphics and prints, whilst quality in the detailing is high. The Bucket Hats feature polished metal eyelets and vegan tanned leather labels, while new colour ways in the popular Classic Lo silhouette are introduced. The collection is rounded off nicely with the fitted Gas Station Jacket, which features woven patch details and a zipper slash chest pocket, really giving off the 1950’s automobile vibes. The colour way’s are kept fairly minimal throughout sticking to black, whites and reds.

The collection is captured in this clean black and white lookbook by Zach Feuerstein, aligning with the themes of the release, again referencing 1950’s Automobile culture and skateboarding. You can shop the HUF Canvas Pack over at Flatspot.com.

HUF x Black Scale

Two of the UK’s finest street wear imports – HUF and Black Scale have come together on a collaborative capsule collection for Holiday 2014, inspired by one of mans greatest vices – gambling.

The West Coast heavyweights combine their easily identifiable aesthetics and shapes to offer up this dark collection consisting of co-branded t-shirts, hoodies, a coach jacket, headwear options, as well as accessories in socks and custom playing cards. The macabre themes that have become synonymous with Black Scales designs are reworked into playing card style graphics that are applied as back prints, while Pentagram logos have been embroidered onto snapbacks, beanies and coach jackets. The super limited collection arrives in a fairly monochrome colour palette with pops of red in the detailing.

To coincide with the release the pair organized an invite only event poker tournament earlier this month with a cash prize of $5000. You can see how the nights events unfolded in the video below.

The HUF x Black Scale Capsule Collection will be arriving in UK stores this week. You can pick your favourite piece up in-store at Chimp.
