New York’s ONLY NY return with this feel good lookbook to coincide with the release of their Summer 2015 range.

Aligning the brands city themes with their sportswear influences, their latest lookbook shot by Chris Baliwas captures the crew enjoying recreational sports in the New York City sun. Following on from their SS15 release, the latest collection includes several graphic based tees, shorts, embroidered sweaters, hoodies and retro hat designs, drawing from sports, fishing and the city lifestyle. The colour palette is vibrant throughout, with some pieces washed out for a vintage look. All items arrive in limited quantities and are made entirely in the USA.

PUMA X ALIFE Sessions with Mobb Deep – Recap

The PUMA presents alife sessions returned to East London to launch part two of their Spring/Summer 2015 collaboration with none other than New York hip hop heavyweights Mobb Deep joining in the celebrations.

The collection itself aligns with part one of the release, utilising PUMA’s heritage in sportswear and combining alife’s unique creative approach to present a selection of vibrant footwear reworks and bold apparel pieces. Drawing inspiration from the streets of New York and the stories they tell, the classic Trinomic R698, Disc Blaze and Blaze of Glory silhouette receive new premium material applications, with the stand out R698 featuring a custom alife motif print on the midsole. The apparel offering consists of a functional two piece tracksuit and a matching short and sweater combo featuring an all over photo print of the New York brands famous piranha tanks situated in their Rivington Street Club store.

One thing we have learned from the PUMA x alife collaborations is that both brands know how to throw a party. With Reakwon representing in the previous London sessions instalment, Mobb Deep played to a packed house at The Laundry E8 and delivered what could quite be one of the best events of the year so far. Following on from energetic warm-up shows from UK based rap project Cult Mountain and impressive London native Little Simz, Mobb Deep took to the stage to deliver classics including Hell on Earth and Shook ones, with all the artists decked out in the latest attire from PUMA and alife. Livin’ Proof were on the decks all night providing the soundtrack to the evening in between sets, with drinks flowing and amazing food from the Pig & Rig, it was a good vibes all round.

10.Deep Spring 2015 “American Glitch” D2 Lookbook

10.Deep present the second delivery from their Spring 2015 release along with accompanying lookbook entitled “American Glitch”.

As we’ve seen in previous releases from the New York City natives, their latest offering again switches up themes, moving away from the more vintage-inspired pieces of delivery one to a modern approach towards design for delivery two. The collection heavily references sportswear with a strong cut and sew collection made up of lightweight outerwear, casual shirting and baseball shirts, amongst other items. The colour palette is kept fairly muted throughout with bright gradient hits and bold pattern applied to the more daring pieces.

The release is one of the most refreshing collections of the season, not happy with playing it safe by applying bold logo’s onto an everyday essentials, 10.Deep continue to trailblaze in the streetwear market, producing forward thinking designs but always respecting their heritage. Stand out’s from the release include new colour updates in the Dashiki shirts and the woven plaid ‘Big 10′ button down shirt.

ONLY NY SS15 Lookbook

New York’s ONLY NY pay homage to their city in their latest set of visuals, highlighting key pieces from their Spring/Summer 2015 collection.

Shot by regular collaborator Ashton Alexander, the lookbook utilises the sunny city scape as a backdrop to showcase a range of staple streetwear items including graphic tees, fleeces, light outerwear and a selection of weather appropriate headwear. The collection sticks largely to ONLY NY’s identifiable aesthetic, with subtle colour applications, bold hand drawn prints and several reworks of the brands logo.

Undeniably New York through and through, the ONLY NY Spring/Summer 2015 collection will be available shortly in UK retailers including Urban Industry, 5Pointz and Chimp Store.

ICNY FW14 Ja Tecson Editorial

ICNY link up with LA based photographer Ja Tecson to re-imagine their Fall/Winter 2014 collection with this smart lookbook that showcases the release in its intended environment – on a bike ride at night.

Created by Mike Cherman, the brand was designed to achieve style and combine it with functionality, applying 3M reflective detailing to help you stay visible during movement, be it skating, cycling or even walking, at night or in dull conditions. The lookbook captures movement well, using double exposure techniques and flash to show off the clothing’s reflective capability. The images series features key items from the brand, with a focus on the iconic Dot Socks, as well as highlighting the new cut and sew offerings that include patterned sweaters and tees.

Belief NYC – Lights On

It’s been a busy few months for the guys over at Belief NYC. Not only have they put out a solid collection for Fall/Winter and some amazing visuals to accompany it, they have also been building a new location to store all that great product in. Only NY Holiday 2014 looks by Ashton Alexander

Only NY have enlisted photographer Ashton Alexander, and models Angela Martini and Christian Lavery, to present their Holiday 2014 release with these clean visuals.

The Manhattan based label offer up a selection of seasonal essentials in sweaters, hoodies and beanies, as well as subtle branded tees and long sleeves. The collection arrives in a minimal colour palette, focused around grey, blue and burgundy, and also features the brands collaborative pieces with sportswear giants Champion.
