Pigalle x Nike

Inspired by community, sport and fashion, Nike and Pigalle link up to celebrate a 10 year relationship between the brands with a capsule collection.

Bringing the Parisian brands love of basketball into the design, the collection is inspired by the patina that develops on a court over time. With tie dye and varnish treatments used to mirror the scuffed surfaces and rusted hoops of the street arena.

The collection consists two Air Force 1 trainers, two colour ways in a basket ball jersey and matching shorts, a hat and a basketball.

The iconic Air Force 1 arrives in high and low iterations, with the high version coming in a brown colour way and the low in grey. Both trainers are designed to look worn and scuffed, made from fine leather, excess padding is taken away and the shoe is treated with a wax coating that breaks down with everyday wear. The shoes also include a transparent outsole that reveals a coaches tactic board in a geometric pattern, a thicker sole that includes extra layers and a lunar insole to ensure comfort.

The apparel collection uses different colour ways to indicate rivalry between teams, with tie dye treatments used to complement the shoes. The cap is embroidered with the iconic PPP logo and the basketball comes in a two tone black and white.

The Pigalle X Nike capsule collection releases this Saturday the 26th of April and will be available in select Nike retail destinations and Nike retailers, including the following stores;
