French label Brooklyn We Go Hard have linked up with Puma to give the popular R698 a unique makeover. The collaboration combines BWGH’s know how in casual yet sophisticated design while still focusing on Puma’s rich sportswear heritage.
The R698 was originally released in the early 90’s at a time when Trinomic technology was defined by running sneakers. The new design focuses on high detailing and a balance of premium materials to incorporate both brands signature elements. With inspiration taken from American painter Mark Rothko and his belief that colours are the true language, BWGH and Puma graduate deep and light blues on the two tone upper, hence the name “Bluefield”.
The shoe is made from suede and mesh, with the use of boucle knit on the Formstripe and woven blue and white laces.
The collaboration also features a technical backpack and skate deck, that follow a similar colour scheme.
The BWGH X Puma – Bluefield will be available from the 7th of December at following online stores;
