Continuing the Nike SB x Jordan brand collaboration, Nike have brought in the creative mind of an original endorsee of the Air Jordan one and legendary pro skater Lance Mountain.
Riders would adopt the Air Jordan 1 for its style and performance benefits, making the shoe their own by adding symbols, slogans and coloured laces. Many mismatched the pairs to extend the life of their shoes, but maintained uniformity by painting over the shoes in the same colour. The second release in the Nike SB X Air Jordan 1 range is inspired by the mismatching style, as Lance Mountain puts both the black/red and black/royal blue colour ways into one pair. The unique look is then completed as the shoes are painted in a DIY style in either black or white, and once each pair is worn in the paint will fade away to reveal the colours underneath.
