Nike SB X Air Jordan I

The Air Jordan I was produced as a high-performance basketball shoe back in the mid-80’s, at a time when Skate was evolving in all areas, the rebellious spirit of the Air Jordan brought the two worlds together.

The supportive ankle height and the cushioning of the Nike Air were perfect for vert skating, while the premium leather upper, gave skaters the perfect protection and durability they needed.
Celebrating the unforeseen adoption of the revolutionary basketball shoe by Skaters, Nike SB and Jordan brand have linked up to produce the Nike SB x Air Jordan I.  Craig Stecyk, once of Santa Monica’s legendary Jeff Ho Surfboards and Zephyr Production, brings his signature design input to the shoe, which includes his signature tribal identity and features bronze casting and spray paint, taking inspiration from his Northwest Passage art installation. The shoe arrives in a green and black colour way for the upper, featuring the ‘AJ One SB’ scribed into the leather and the same inscription can be found on the insole.

A shoe that has been decades in the making will be made available at select Nike SB and Jordan retailers, as well as nike.com from the 15th of March. Be sure to look out for the  Air Jordan I design by Lance Mountain coming later this year.
